How Alexei Navalny Will Be Remembered
On February 16th, 2024, the leader of the Russian political opposition, Alexei Navalny, was announced dead. After being kept in prison for 3 years, he was killed. It is unknown whether he was murdered directly, or through the constant torture and lack of medical attention.
The 16th has become yet another dark date in the month of February. The 24th was the day of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The 20th marked the beginning of the annexation of Crimea in 2014. A year later on the 27th, another opposition leader and ally of Navalny’s, Boris Nemtsov was killed near the walls of the Kremlin.
The authorities are not releasing Navalny's body to his mother, claiming that it will take them 2 weeks to establish a cause of death. In this video, we talk about how Alexei Navalny will be remembered.

Really? Navalny is listed a co-founder of Democratic Alternative Movement, which is an NGO who has received funding from the US state National Endowment for Democracy crowd who are basically the CIA's PR and grants team for regime change and sewing seeds of civil unrest in foreign countries

My heart is broken over this, Putin must be held accountable. My sincere condolences go out to his wife, children and extended family members. Russia stand strong hopefully soon you can rid yourselves of the monster that is Putin.
His death reminds me of how people in the US felt when John and Robert Kennedy were assassinated in the 1960s. May his memory be a revolution!

I so worry for his wife and children, his parents and brother. Already his brother has been thrown in Jail; his mother is being denied his body, all the way out in the Arctic. I hope Heaven keeps them safe.

For people who have vicious words, see 5:43 Always curious why Navalny was so opposed to TV Rain's Ksenia Sobchak (with names like "controlled opposition") - these imperfect characters each made a contribution to breaking apart Putin's facade, despite that he was too meticulous to let them defeat him. A man like Nalvalny does not emerge in a decade nor in a generation of a country as one would like to hope ; he had no fear, not even of self or death. Is there any in our midst who can say that ?
