Alcohol and cigarettes addiction actually destroyed my life. I could remember several years ago after divorce with my wife which brought me into my disastrous journey on Alcohol and cigarettes. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Got diagnosed with cptsd. Not until a friend recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 8 years totally clean. Much respect to mother nature the great magic shrooms.

Last night I had 2 pints of beer and a glass of red wine; I decided to "try" being drunk. Let's just say that today I feel extremely awkward from some of the things I said while drunk. That's what alcohol truly does to you- it makes you feel like everything is so silly when drunk, but when the effect wears off you go into deep regret. Yeah, I really hate the peer pressure to become drunk when you're 21. I'm not touching Alcohol anymore!

@@AsapSCIENCE Lol. 😉 The progression of the experience was, in retrospect, oddly absurd. The bottle was on the top shelf of the kitchen pantry. I had to reach up quite high to retrieve it. I took down the bottle and poured a quantity into a glass in curiosity. I hadn’t intended to get tanked. The stuff hurt going down. I put the bottle back up on the shelf. I returned later and repeated the procedure with no firm idea of my destination. The bottle came down, I poured and drank, and the bottle was returned to its place. This went on several more times in decreasing intervals of time. I realized I was thoroughly sloshed when I was weaving around in my (successful) attempt to put the bottle back. The whole thing turned into a situation comedy when my music teacher arrived at my house to give a lesson, and I tried to play. It wasn’t a success and she left after a couple of minutes. My parents were disapproving and amused. The result was punishment enough, and I didn’t incur any penalty beyond the painful embarrassment. :-)

@@ms.debourghofrosings6829 First time I truly got drunk was surprisingly after I turned of legal age. I was at the beach with my parents and sister. I drank an entire 12 pack of beer by myself. The experience was fun and my parents were laughing at me. But I blacked out and all I remember was violently vomiting into the bathtub of our Airbnb in the middle of the night and waking up downstairs with all the lights still turned on. I asked my parents and sister what happened but apparently they went to bed before I even finished all of the beer. That next day and the memory of throwing up was so bad that I have never gotten drunk off beer again. I do however like some whiskey on occasion.

For some reason, when I drink even the smallest amount of alcohol, like half a beer, I'll get hungover pretty bad in the morning. What's weird is that by noon I'll feel pretty good, and feel like exercising more than I might otherwise. Not sure if it's linked, but to me it seems to be a pattern.

However everyone is different and drugs are subjective depending on the individual and effect us all differently. This may be a true effect that is exclusive to you, albeit that’s not a bad effect to have, as exercising has endless benefits including boosting ur mood, helping sleep, releasing natural endorphins boosting mood, so yeah.

I’m curious to know what you guys think about the Stoned Ape Hypothesis. It makes sense that about 10 million years ago climatic changes were dramatically altering African forests into plains, which allowed our ancestors more reason to evolve towards bipedalism and scavenge for fermenting fruit. The mutation of alcohol dehydrogenase must have been a beneficial adaptation towards our survival. The Stone Ape Hypothesis suggests that the psilocybin fungi must have undoubtedly been scavenged seasonally alongside fermenting fruit throughout that time period as well. I would love to hear what you guys think about the evolutionary role of psychotropic substances like psilocybin-containing fungi may have had on our species. Would probably make a great video too!

If you wanna get drunk (0.15-0.25 BAC), it’s best do it every 2-4 weeks or couple months while maintaining a healthy lifestyle to burn the calories. Huh. The first time I was drunk, I didn't realize I was drunk--I thought my ADHD meds had worn off...I think it makes sense that since a lot (if not all, I forget) of ADHD symptoms involve the frontal lobe, as does alcohol, that alcohol would make me feel the same way as I do when I'm off my meds. I mean, CNS stimulant vs. CNS depressant.

Yeah I’ve only recently been medicated and I didn’t realise how tipsy I looked and acted when I’m off my meds

I drank from May this year until July 19. I was sober for 1 month but I'm back drinking again and it gets worse every time I drink again. Idk what to do.

I can agree to the “type of drink = positive expectancies.” Im ready to down 5 sangrias with the girls and get war flashbacks if I even get the faintest smell of tequila
