The recaps are the funniest part of the videos.

WWE must've heard Adam say "Nothing can kill my love for the Royal Rumble!" and then went "Hold my beer".

I haven't watched any wrestling in a while, but I always come back for the Royal Rumble, and hearing "let's get Ciampa out of NXT before more damage is done" made me realize that we truly are in the darkest timeline

For the record, I prefer listening to Adam talk about the real booking circumstances before he has a go at them. The only timestamps that have ever really been necessary are for skipping the native advertising.

@@blablablaa14 Frankly, I don't watch WWE and appreciate being given the context. For many like me, we don't need refreshers on 2002 storylines, but I realize others do, and Adam is funny anyway. It's really just when he's advertising against his will that I could go without it.

In my mind he did do a recap, but then after finishing the video and realizing that it ended up over 40 minutes long, Oli had him go back and re-tape the beginning to cut it out, with that as the excuse. That being said, give me the Blampied Cut of this video, because I want the rant restored!

Same - The history behind some of the rebookings is necessary to tell a story.

How depressing is it to watch this after the real rumble with how good this is and how they were perfectly capable of doing it.

I agree with the ending for 3 main reasons. 1: There HAS to be a Edge vs AJ feud! They are 2 of the biggest names ever and it just has to happen before it is too late! 2: Big E winning would be "too simple" and Big:E vs Goldberg (IF E wins) has a nice ring to it! 3: Kevin Owens is the man, he deserves it so very much!

I mean, the Royal Rumble is a booker's dream. Callbacks, interactions for future feuds, the mini match between the final 2/3/4, the surprise entrants... booking the Rumble is actually easy.

This would’ve been a far better royal rumble than the one we actually got. Watching this video after having watched the premium alive event. Very disappointed in this year’s royal rumble Adam you always book the storylines better well done great video very entertaining. Way better than the real royal rumble disappointment in WWE again

There's a lot of good here but honestly the thing I want the most is for Byron to finally get back at Corey Graves, Graves is a proper smug prick in and out of character and it'd be great to see Saxton finally get his own, maybe punctuate the beat down with a cheeky "Be a star" into the mic, Corey would be a perfect mid card heel assuming he actually wants to return to wrestling and they could replace him on commentary with I dunno, Wade Barrett, because I love that man and everything he does.

If he just became a wrestler, he'd be let go within a year. I know some people don't like his commentary work. Personally there has not been a new commentator who's impressed me in the last decade other than Graves and Excalibur.

Amazes me everytime how a single guy can book consistently better than a full team of people who’s sole job is to book…

Damn, I wished this is the one that actually happened instead of what we got yesterday. Usual WWE quality from their part at this point, and that's far from a compliment. For Adam, thank you for giving me hope because in an alternative timeline we get this Royal Rumble.

This aged well. 2022 was arguably one of the worst Rumble PPVs for sure.

“Drew McIntyre is not going to be in the Rumble due to his neck injury.” That aged well.

Pie in the sky, I think they've finally shown that all the members of the New Day can work in a singles role. Would it not be an incredible final three to have the New Day friendship triple threat, where they all know each others' offense, they all want to push hard but not too hard, but as the match continues, one of them realizes, more than the others, that to win, they'll have to take things just a little more seriously. I don't think there's been a rumble final with a three-man team where all three could legitimately make it happen (Woods wouldn't win, but he would be stoked for this, you know he'd get tossed around that ring by E and kicked by Kofi any day)

Oh gosh, I'm enjoying this ridiculously. Your enthusiasm is infectious, reminds me why the Rumble was fun in the first place. I haven't watched one in a hot minute, this is actually making me want to watch WWE for the first time in like, 4 years.

I would love to hear Adam's take on booking the Hardys' run up to retirement, because I can't imagine either of them have more than a few more years left in them based on recent interviews, and they're absolute legends.

Some of this is better than what actually happened. Especially the part between the start and the finish

Well this is better than what actually happened

#1 being AJ and #2 Being Theory was surprisingly close

I actually enjoy the preamble more than the fantasy booking part. It's nice to have a fairly candid review of a certain angle, event or wrestler to set the scene.

The AJ Styles bit literally made me laugh every single time. Thank you.

I booked the same thing for the ending of the Royale Rumble and Seth rollins match! But I had Seth Rollins win via KO interference. I think it's a very neat knot on the entire KO feud from many moons ago. And having the two heels just laugh about having a match at mania, making that team, and then locking it in at RR is two sweet. But in my booking Big E wins some match, maybe the elimination chamber to force himself into the KO and SR match. I think the best ending to the KO and SR feud HAS to be a multi man match, where they can FINALLY turn on each other.

This video really put into perspective how much of a pleasant surprise it would be to have Riddle turn on Randy. Orton had an incredible heel run the last couple years, why not do the unexpected and have heel Riddle. Could be one of the biggest swerves in the modern era if done right
