Must admit I've only just started using a boat and it's not the expensive kind but certainly helped in my last session with getting bait and rig dropped right where want it and landed me 4 fish I wouldn't have been able to cast to and bait up I found that lead clips worked best even adding a small pva mesh bag on hook allowed for a smooth depart of the boat

I would be intersted to know how deep was this spot? Im thinking about the swing back on the lead, cheers

I use a baitboat a lot and a heli set up is not the one!! Lead clips drop and sit better from a bait boat!!

Look like technium 10000 xt old school reels proper 👍

I've only ever used my bait boat once and the only problem I had was coots kept jumping onboard and the worst bit is they weren't even eating the bait they would just sit there so when I try bringing the boat back it just goes round in circles 😂

Sorry but bait boats are a prime example of what’s wrong with the sport

FFS ! Camera’s, bait boats and two giggling fools commentating on even the most insignificant of ‘action’. Good god, is this where carp fishing has got to ? Next there will be drones with cameras pin pointing where the fish are and grossly over stocked holes in the ground where the carp are reliant on bait to survive. Ohh too late. This isn’t what angling was supposed to be about ? Carp fishing is doomed.

No mate, people who moan, criticise, and judge others on the internet on how they like to enjoy their fishing is what taints it. You're only 'ruining' your own fishing. Fishing is doing just fine. Just do what you enjoy and live and let live 👍🏼
