Would you say it's...Vital that jagex changes these? Or should it remain the same, let me know! It's crazy that vital sparks are 500k each but magister is barely profitable anymore. Also this video isn't a money making video, none of these methods are really that great of money which is exactly why vital sparks are so high in price.

You missed one piece of information I really wanted to know. What would your profit or loss have been at the current key prices? I know it's not 300mil. It's way less than that if you could work that out and reply I'd be very happy 😊.

Yeah then I had spent around 500 keys I believe, so I would have only made like 130m from those kills. Compared to 350m before I believe as the keys cost double now. And the loots less. Magister went from 40-50m/hr to under 15m now if not less.

I think they should buff the droprate a tad for vital sparks. And while we're at it, buff the droprate for phylacteries. I'm grinding away trying to make the tier 92s that I obtained without buying, but it sucks when you open one and get 5 scraps of scripture every time. And I typically go over droprate for the phylacteries. But maybe by now it's evened out. Not sure, but it is quite annoying.

I say leave it be. the grind is a decent moneymaking method for mid-tier players who would need the ability anyways

They should up the drop rate of vital sparks again, or make the magister always drop 1 so that the key can essentially pay for it self

Making magister drop vital spark is a good counter (making this boss's drops relevant again, since khopesh crashed badly) , 👍🏻 But not the slayer creatures in the dungeon, cause... they were farmed by bots.

The Magister is a powerful necromancer. I'll be willing to bet vital sparks or phylacterys will be used in the new Necromancy skill.

Keys will prob go up to 1m each if that happens just because there are so little coming in.

Should mention that ascensions aren't worth making anymore either.

It has been interesting to follow the price increase. Btw you can turn off the world hop confirmation messages from the world selection list settings. :)

I believe the price of limitless is fine. However 2,000 sparks for golden touch and the other one is too much. I believe the right thing to do is to change the vital sparks needed for the other abilities as they shouldn't be that expensive. Sparks should still be obtained from slayer and the magistar at their current rate, or maybe increase the rate of the keys but keep sparks the same. Just my thought on it

Increase the drop rate of elite clues per hour by a few. Used to be killed a lot for clues but abyssal beasts are better now.

Honestly. I hope that not only jagex doesn't do much about the vital sparks.. but that this video doesn't go too viral.. I've been farming sparks for about 6 months now. Have made soooo much money on them.

Noticed this as well. I added slayer monsters that drop vital sparks to my kill list as well. Made 17mil 1 task at gorillas. It’ll even out as slayer masters see the profit

Damn, I have my alts do corrupted scorpions for afk gp and I was wondering why finding a world for them now was infinity more easier than it was before. That also explains why I seemed to have been making more gp than I had in the past haha. Personally don’t think Jagex should do anything. Let the market correct itself.

I have no issue with the price. It's probably the single most powerful ability in the game seeing as it can be used both offensively and defensively and used with all 3 combat styles. 1b isn't unheard of for ability upgrades anyway and now that it's not heavily botted it means that players who actually do slayer can make a good bit of money, especially as they get better and can kill the monsters farther into the dungeon. It also means that killing magister for the boss log isn't a full loss of GP since at least you get the vital sparks, you might lose money doing the log, but you'll lose A LOT less because of their price.

I mean so what is my best option to get Limitless then? Don't really wanna spend 1b. Which slayer creature would be best to grind, corrupt scorpions or higher creature? Should I then use my keys obtained from whichever creature and use them on Magister in hopes of more vital spark drops?

Limitless being around the same price as Grico is one thing (it is very powerful, so it also very expensive), but the two other vital spark abilities, Golden Touch and Unsullied, should be addressed. These are nowhere near as interesting or powerful as Limitless, and their price is literally dictated by that of Limitless. I think these should be changed to either require a smaller amount of vital sparks, or have them be unlocked through some other mean. Having them artificially gated by Limitless just feels wrong.

Golden Touch should've been the active effect of the Gold Accumulator TBH, once you purchase that thing with DG tokens you also unlock the Ability. Unsullied sounds like it should be its own Ability Codex Drop from the Magister. Then again, maybe add some new Abilities to the Vital Sparks, or add a Cluster drop to the Magister to make him a bit more profitable again and worth doing.

Don’t forget if you have a soul devoured task magister can actually drop 60 sparks at once! And tuskas wrath will work on him too lol

3-part mini quest, each piece upgrades vital spark drop enhancers. +1 twice, and then remove the chest restriction for double loot chance, allowing anything sent to the chest to retain the 20% double loot chance (I'm aware you can essentially manipulate your chest into doing this but bear with me). After this, the primary barrier of rng should be fairly mitigated, and the cost of limitless would then be near next to free for everyone being so incentivized to do the activity. Top drop on a 'super' VSE would be something like...8 sparks from a trash mob drop at that point? Also, truly fully afk? The difference between 5000 and 3500 mobs is hours of grinding to be sure. The more end game you are the more you benefit in that regard, either to own the ability yourself, or to make money of it as it stands. Further making this fully afk seems like a palatable 'solo unlock' for everyone as that's what pretty much everyone can do, and I believe unlocks should resemble content that most players can be capable of. Bonus: Invention unlock that you charge with Magister kills. After [x] kills, the device is charged, allowing for keyless Magister fights.

Or are they fairly negligible due to the drop rate (1/500) and with the ~540mil drop in price of the Khopesh of Tumeken and ~600mil drop of the Khopesh of Elidinis? About how many kills to make a Khopesh? Great content as always, it gets me thinking about the game!

Being such a rare drop its not a huge difference but adds a little. The real problem isnt the loot decreasing in price but the fact that keys are so expensive.

I’ve been on this grind for months lol. Just broke 500 Sparks. (On task with enhancers) The nerfed rates are rough.. Almost 115 Slayer tho and can’t wait to put my 500 keys to use! Hoping he’ll help speed it up a bit lmao.

There used to be many gold farmers there too as well as the bot farms. Maybe they were linked. I used to have so much fun trolling them 😂

I stopped 6 month ago and played only few monthes (burnout). The best raw gpm I made was on menaphos slayer, however considering how important sparks are I never sold them, I have probably twice or three times the value of my pvm gears in sparks. Probably half of what I made from slayer in terms of account value was from corrupted creatures alone. Sadly slayer is very erratic in terms of returns and certain tasks were very too tedious and not really rewarding at my gear/skill level(95 curses, holy overloads, T70 gears, T85ish weapons, no additionnal skills but correct usage of combat triangle, specials ammos and so on)

Damn I remember spending 550 mil on this ability that increase is insane

Since it can be grinded without the need for relying on rare drops, it's fine. Maybe reduce the number of sparks needed for it. Honestly, I wish more end game items were accessible that way. As a casual player that doesn't enjoy PvM, there are some items I can only dream of.

Frankly I've always considered that getting the ability through Slayer was how it should be done, with random chances at getting more Sparks from the Magister through keys obtained during Slayer. I think it's fine how it is #Ironmanbtw

@xkaii8617 Maybe to you it isn't the same. Plenty of people feel just as much accomplishment achieving stuff on a main account. Plus, it's not like a main account can't also just Ironman their way to a sigil if that's what they needed to feel a sense of accomplishment lol.

make qbd drop vital sparks cause that boss went from a good 5m/hr chill and now its like 2-3m because of all nerfs like taking away ore/herb drops

I bought limitless ability last week and I was shocked when I saw that will cost me 1 bil cuz I was expected 400 or 500 mil max.

The bots have switched to Salawa Akh in the dungeon almost everyone world is full.

You can't pk there.. even if they died they were programmed to go back to where they were. I afked them for yak trak back when the bots were an issue. I also made bank by buying feathers and selling them. But now without anyone using keys and the tax n ge the keys are risky investment

@@LasagnaLlama low tier arrows to minimize ability damage on a dark bow with the taunting perk, dragging the lizards up into the hallway, deaggroing them by surging to the front of the scorpion room, and then using provoke every time the bot used an ability with a long animation on a scorpion with high life. in under three minutes i could get them stuck on a corner in the hallway taking constant ranged damage.

You can pk them, you lure the scorpions that the player is attacking into the lizards then sit back with popcorn and watch the bot die.

I thought I got ripped off paying over 400mil for Limitless. Knowing that it's 1 bil now kind of makes me want to farm sparks.

Think last 4 hours iv done(with enhanced drop urns ect) I got maybe 2 keys :p

Limitless for 1b it’s ok, it’s op and useful for all styles.

I wish you threw some additional info in the video. Something like “boss sucks now but I made this much killing x for an hour” or “it would take you this long to make it yourself” kind of stuff.

Well I did compare the loot I would have made now doing an entire khopesh vs previously, but in terms of profit Magister is only around 15m per hour because keys are SO expensive compared to previously being upwards of 30-40m+ or even more.

No no I didnt take it as negative at all! I rewatched the video and wish I thought to calculate the profit with or without keys, or maybe I should have put the gp per hr rate in there, just to drive in how bad magister is now, even though keys are so high.

Here's my answer to the question you pose at the end: Change the default drop to untradable vital sparks, which one can combine 2500 of to unlock Limitless, Golden Touch, and Unsullied at once; or converted 1 to 1 into the regular tradable ones we have now.

No keys are like 400k, like I said in the video even though khopesh went down, and profit per kill went down as well, keys went UP since the last time I did magister a year ago. So that's the problem keys are 400k each, but each magister kill is worth less than when keys were 200k each.

leave the sparks as in dont need jagex to come in and crash the market .... maybe do something about kopesh though

@@NuzzNuzz Doing crocs with a dragon 2h eof. It increases the kph a lot. It has to be on task with enhancers as well; some times I make 60m/h on task, some are 20m/h; most often Im hitting 40m/h but its fairly consistent and evens out over time this was when they were 500k tho.

tbh i dont think they should do anything for now. Sit back relax and wait that the players sees it as a profitable slayer method. More and more people will do it and it will settle itself at a high price. When you check the price of other useful abilities, it makes sense that its close to a billion.

Jagex screwed over anyone who didn’t already have it basically

The answer is both easy and fair. Make them untradable. Do it across the board. Make ALL the high end drops untradable rares too. If you weren't playing when a rare came out..... Your just SOL.

These changes only affects the new players it makes no sense this change now has 0 effects for most of the community every pvmer that has decent gear has this upgrade.

Afraid if Jagex does do something, then the bots could back in droves. Maybe increase the number of keys for the highest tier corrupted creatures? Does having corrupted creatures in your SOP negate the corrupt effect?

Codices should probably require less vital sparks. With as much as you've done, you still haven't collected enough sparks to make even one codex, and there's 3 you can make. You have 3k of the magister boss kills and who knows how many corrupted mobs killed and have found less than 2000 sparks. I feel bad for any ironman looking to get even one codex. I like how the solution to botting is to lower drops instead of getting rid of bots.

Salawah akh's are botted and also people leave their alts there non stop. Spoke to 1 guy there by chance who had came to check his alt and he said he does 8 to 10 hours a day there.

I have 5 alts doing up to 12 hours sometimes.

Release vital sparks into treasure hunter. Problemo solved and jagex wins again.

There is no farming method atleast not making enough money to make players want to camp there, corrupted creatures are not that great of money, and neither is magister, most of these you want to be on-task which is hard to camp, that's the point of the video. There's really no method to "farm" vital sparks that's worth it, hence why the bots left, hence the price of vital sparks being so high. I'm sure you can make some money, but not nearly enough to make tons of people/bots camp it. This video wasn't about any money making methods, it was about what caused such a price increase in vital sparks.

Not saying you cant make money there, but its obviously not being farmed enough to bring down vital sparks or keys as theyve both gone up massively.

They should make it so you can create all vital spark abilities with just 500 sparks. Now that the bots are gone, that's the best balance they can bring to it. They have to address this coz magister is dead content for now.
