    Love how they emphasize "an employee" does this, "an employee" does that. As a verbal distraction to the fact that robots have completely taken over, even the simple task of bolting tires on these things. Layoffs don't mean business is slow... Layoffs mean, our Robots don't need breaks, food, pay raises, benefits, sympathy, etc. Yeah.. Great video guys 👍🏽

    The commentator needs to learn to differentiate between 'body' and 'chassis' and to learn that the 'frame' is another name for 'chassis'. He eventually gets this right at the very end of the third minute. Thank goodness he doesn't call a 'door' a 'window' or I would conclude that he didn't know his arse from his elbow.

    Are 50 jeeps an hour being sold? No

  • @alex9621

    @alex9621

    5 жыл бұрын

    To be honest 50 cars per hour doesn't even come close to one third of all the Jeeps sold in a year. In 2018 they were able to sell 973.227 units. Now look at the Ohio plant production figures. 50 cars per hour times the working hours (I assume them to be 16 considering that the video said two daily shifts) equals 800 cars per day. Times 365 (not even considering mandatory holidays) equals 292.000 units a year. You can clearly see that 50 cars an hour is nothing for a brand as big as Jeep

They sold 21,000 in Canada alone. And while I couldn't find any info about China, they sold 6,500 Wranglers in China in 2013. Add in all the other sales it wouldn't be hard to get 280-300 sales.

    I've never owned an American brand vehicle, but the Jeep comes close, especially with the Gladiator coming out. What are Jeep's positives and negatives? Reliability, ergonomics, on/off road performance? Jokes are welcome, but insight would be best (don't expect me to know the difference if it's a "Jeep guy" thing though haha).

    Because of the metal bunpers, stiffness, and lack of crumple zones the weak frame will protect you more in a crash

    Given the type of car the Wrangler is, I would assume its easier to build than the Cherokee or even the Renegade. One thing I also noticed was most of the workers are wearing casual clothing. Is there no proper dress code or working gear? I do know that Holden, Ford Australia and Toyota Australia had uniforms for their workers in their final years of producing cars in Australia. That may be because of the fact that production was ending so to boost morale, or simply to adhere to new standards? Im not sure, but it caught my eye seeing Jeep workers wearing casual clothing.
