Travis owes so much to Jason and Coach Andy Reid. Nonetheless, Travis has matured into a driven, meticulous on the field performer, whose mindset i winning (and to not play stupid). Having his big brother, Jason, as his mentor, along with Coach Reid & Patrick Mahomes has allowed Travis to become an elite tight end/receiver. Winning another Super Bowl will place Travis Kelce along with Rob Gronkowski, as the best tight ends of all time. Gronk defined and refined the position. Tom Brady always knew Gronk was going to find a way to make a play, when necessary. Travis Kelce has similar attributes. Patrick Mahomes looks for Travis to find an open area, and when those two players possess that internal instinct, positive results occur. Not too shabby for a two star recruit, who had a number of uncomfortable and uncertain mature factors. Go Travis, Go Chiefs!

Actually it was the University of Cincinnati coaches who took him back and made him a tight end. Without Jason’s input KC would not have drafted him.

That is it. Travis slowly matured from a high school QB with academic problems to a big time TE. Travis worked really hard to build up his size and strength. And then the applied superior athletic ability to the TE position. The value of a good older brother cannot be underestimated.

Good luck in the Superbowl and I look forward to watching the game ! On another note, Jason Kelce is a very supportive brother ! Travis is very lucky to have such a good relationship with him ! For everyone comparing Gronk and Kelce consider this: They don’t play the same tight end position. There’s two TE spots, a Y (the inline run blocker- Gronk) and a U (lines up in different spots pass catcher/ slot TE-Kelce)

There are plenty of Kelces who didn't make it past training camp. At the highest level everyone has talent. Not everyone has the brain. Not everyone has the drive to be great. Not everyone has access to the right performance enhancers. Sometimes you show up to a program at the right time. Sometimes you show up at the wrong time. So many variables need to play out. It also helps to have Mahomes throwing to you. Life is weird like that.

And its absurd. Some are acting like Kelce is trash and its all his fault for this seasons struggle. Despite it being obvious everyone is struggling. Blaming it all on him and his relationship. Kelce got one Jerry Rice receiving playoff record beat and if he keeps playing, he could beat 'em all. And to all the "wHaT AbOUt gRoNk" guys: Kelce got 305yd more than Gronk (who has 1.389yd), 3 td more (Gronk got 15) and 47 more receptions (Gronk at 98) in 2 less playoff games. Nobody is discrediting Gronk, who was very good at a young age and became a top5 tight end, but Kelce is the obvious Nr.1 at his position.

he might not have caught a touchdown pass and there may have been totals way more impressive then his 133 yards and of course it was in a losing effort but you can argue there were few performances ever better by a receiver than what kelce did in superbowl 55. the fact that despite how bad the bucs defense managed to smother mahomes and the chiefs offense, kelce still somehow had 10/133. no matter how much nobody seemed to be open all night somehow he kept getting open repeatedly, in the middle one of the best defensive perfromances in football history by the bucs they still had no answer for him. id imagine during his HOF induction they won't be showing highlights of that game because obviously it was a bad loss but they should show a little bit of it, i would. we are looking at possibly the third greatest pass catcher of all time right now with only rice and gronk to catch up to, wow.

The TE with the most 1000 yard seasons in a row think 7 as he was 16 yards short this year, no other TE has had more than 4, fasted TE to reach 11,000 yards, he’s still playing and top 4 for receiving yards and Gronk is not in top four. So stop acting like he doesn’t deserve to be in the conversation as one of the best TE to play. I find the GOAT conversations for team athletes to be silly anyway. None of these TE would be goats without landing on the right team with the right coaches. Had Brady landed on the lions team all those years ago think really think he would have won all those super bowls?
