Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Rago Brothers Shoe & Leather Repair is a cobbler shop in Morristown, New Jersey, that repairs all kinds of shoes and leather goods. Some of the challenging items that come through the shop are shoes and leather goods that have been bitten or chewed by pets. These items are in need of a lot of repair work. Co-owner Tom Rago shows us how to refurbish a pair of $1,000 Christian Louboutin heels that were significantly damaged by a dog.

Just like everyone else said, she might not have been able to "buy new ones". If you have the money to repair what you already own, why not repair them? That's the problem with items today, we just buy new ones instead of repairing and maintaining what we already own. Clothing used to be something that people would own their entire lives and continuously maintain and patch and rework. Shoes would get taken to a cobbler and resoled not just tossed out and new ones bought. Luxury items are meant to last a lifetime that's one of the reasons they're so costly. You can take them and have them repaired so you'll never have to buy another bag/pair of shoes/etc again.

Great craftmanship and artistry. Props to the this cobbler shop. After reading some of the other comments: 1. Cost of shoes is $800+, not the cost of the repair. So the assumption is that the cost of repair is much less than new shoes. (Given the time and effort, it probably wasn't cheap to fix them, though.) 2. Louboutin has a limited run on styles, so this may not be replaceable. Even the still-popular So Kate will eventually be discontinued. 3. Although they didn't show it, blending the new leather piece to the existing upper and making it seamless/invisible is possible with light sanding, color touch-up, clear coating, and then buffing. 4. Shoe owner really needs to put her expensive footwear away securely and get her dog a chew toy. It's like 1 AM where I am and found this video suggested. Fun to watch, regardless.

The cost/value of a pair of Louboutins is ridiculous. They are cheaply made and uncomfortable, but some people will pay out the wazoo for status. The repair will have more pure workmanship involved than the original creation. Just ridiculous.

High heel comfort is all about form, if you get a pair of high heels and your arch is to high, you aren’t going to be comfortable. It’s really up to a persons body whether a shoe is comfortable or not. That’s why some people find cheaper shoes comfortable because they have a flat foot. I have never found a pair of heels that fit my foot, so I don’t even try anymore, it hurts too much.

Haven’t seen a single comment on how a repair like this is more sustainable and supports smaller/independent businesses. you don’t have buy a whole new pair when options like this exist, it’s wasteful. If you have the money to buy a new pair you have the money to get it repaired instead. It’s so much better to support independent business then multimillion companies like Louis Vuitton. also who cares if that shoes only 20% Louis now that’s a dumb thing to care about seriously materialistic
