As a child, watching Pokemon. I laughed every time I heard Ash’s mom asking if he was wearing clean underwear. Literally they could have just where she ask if he was brushing his teeth in the morning.

You've missed one in the first episode: When Pikachu comes out of its ball, the thunder effects had significantly less frames than the original japanese broadcast version, and the same thing happens when Pikachu electrocutes Ash for the very first time.

Was 4kids trying to make it look like this show was made in the USA or something? Removing Japanese foods and text? Really? That could be a good teaching moment for kids that other countries/cultures exist outside USA

4Kids likely saw that Satoshi's breathing was offensive to Western audiences.
