How 2024 FAA Reauthorization Act Affects Part 91 Air Tour Operations

In this video I go over the key provisions in the FAA Reauthorization Act of 2024 that particularly relate to Part 91 Air Tour Operations. Suffice it to say, changes are coming!
In a recent video I did on the newly signed into law “2024 FAA Reauthorization Act”, I focused on going over the positives in it for the General Aviation community.
Based on viewer feedback on that video, asking how the new Act affects the Part 91 Air Tour Operations, I went back and furthered reviewed the new “2024 FAA Reauthorization Act” to understand specifically how it impacts all Air Tour Operations, but in particular, focusing Part 91 Air Tour Operations. This video summarizes my research into the “2024 FAA Reauthorization Act” as it relates to new Air Tour Operations, particularly for Part 91 operations. In addition, I start off by reviewing how currently Passenger-carrying flights for compensation or hire are conducted under Part 91.147 rules. #flying #aviation #airtours #generalaviation #flight #flightseeing #scenicflights

Great video. The stuff about the doors and the possibility of 135 requirement reminds me a lot of the NTSB recommendations that came out of the FlyNyon incident in NYC.

Lots of regulatory requirements, but not a lot of safety benefit.
