I have the Hover and a DJI Mini 3 Pro. They both have a place and complement each other. However, I find that I am using the Hover more frequently than DJI. Quick setup for spur of the moment, no worries about air space, fits in my pocket. Frankly I love it.

Well said. I prefer to use my Mini 4 but I’ve experienced what you said with the X1, quick to setup, worry free, etc even though it has a bunch of limitations.

I love it for the ease of use when I do my videos. Yet video quality could be better or at least as you mentioned, give us the option to tome down saturation and the over sharpening. But they are always bringing up some updates, so let's hope. I like your style of videos a lot

How you doing Mr.Otto ?,I have a question about the dji pocket 3 , recently I noticed when recording at night a small dots appear in the video and they move while not moving the direction of the camera , sometimes white color sometimes green dots.the camera less than 2 month old !

The follow mode is very good but the Dolly mode is danger. The drone flying backwards without any sensor if you moves fast like running, it will crash into trees especially if you’re in the trails. I don’t fly in open space because it is boring.

it takes a bit of practice, I was hesitating to do it in closer spaces but you kinda get the hang of it, it's almost like aiming it with your body. Still the regular follow mode is safer, no doubt

How do you control it with a smart phone? You launch it by the button on top of it but how do you stop it? Seems like too much to spend for just something that follows you around unless a person really needs that for their KZread channel.

Hi Dean. The app on your smartphone will let you control it manually. There are also gestures that can be done with your arms to make it land for example. The automatic flight modes however are designed to be close range. Is not like the dronie on a DJI drone that will fly far away, so with a bit of common sense and evaluation of your surroundings it’s pretty safe

I think this can be used outside of having a YT channel. I’m planning to take it on an upcoming trip just for casual shots. Video quality is not a strong feature and that matters a lot to me

Hi otto..question brother just got the dji 3 ...but im using my phone charger to charge the battery and it seems it dont charge seems like is not strong enough to charge..cant believe dji dont bring a head charger so now i dont know if i need to buy something out there..lights is blinking green but doesnt pass the 2 dots green lights on the battery ..anything i can do here brother

@@platano3000x if it is a drone it should have a name on it. Mini, Air, etc. The latest one is the Mini 4K which looks like the Mini 2 (small with no sensors).

Only person I see that might be better off with this would be someone solely using it for something like youtube vlogs. Otherwise it is overpriced and very limited. I think it is a neat idea, but honestly $199 would be a better price point. A Mini 2 will do everything this will and so much more for $279 right now at Amazon. Anyone serious about a drone for this type usage should have the tiny amount of time involved in learning basic usage of a photo drone, and will unlock so much more potential.

What about someone who wants to film themselves while inline skating? Mostly for fun, don’t have ambitions to post online so 4k isn’t needed (but would be welcome). The compact form factor and no peripherals make it appealing, since I could easily take it along in my pocket. The short flight time might be an issue tho.

@mssippijim yes and no. There is so much more than just "youtube vlogs" where people can take advantage of this kind of drone. Not everyone is willing to learn to fly the Mini, or those drones can't fly anywhere as they just won't take off or are banned, but I do agree that for the video quality, it is expensive.

@@OttoJulian_ I live in a pretty quiet neighbourhood and just do some casual skating on the streets. There’s rarely any cars around, and very few people. So I guess that makes it an option. Thanks for the info.

Yeah, price is a downside, unless someone really doesn't want to get a Mini Drone from DJI since there is a bit of a learning curve. I've had subscribers buy them and not use them anymore because they really can't get used to it or can't learn to fly it.
