Thanks for watching and supporting the channel!
The fluke with a hover rig is a game changer. I fish it around some local docks at the marina and I catch everything on it.

I have caught a few using the Missile Baits Ned Bomb on the 3/64 oz hover rig. I'm going to have to try the curly tail grub, thank you!!

I never used anything like that before. I don't much fish swimbaits but I can see where something like that would really work well. I'll have to check them out.

Glad you like them! Thanks for watching!
I need to give that a try. Haven’t done it yet and very interested to see the action underwater. Man, when you said Fat Albert grub, that took me way back. I used the twin tail version for a long time. And I was messing around in the garage the other day and actually found a pile of them!

It's always sort of a treat to find an old bait or a few bags of plastics that we completely forgot about! A lot of anglers don't use grubs anymore, but I still think they're an amazing bait!
Excellent tips here LB. Love the Texas rig technique, and I'm for sure gonna try the side ways rig on the fluke. The fluke has been my best producer on the hover rig.

Love your videos!! I learn so much from them! Do you retie your line every time you have to replace your bait when your doing the Texas rigged stick bait?

Yeah, when doing the Texas rig on a Hover rig, you unfortunately need to retie when changing baits or putting a new one on.
Great tips! I love anything that maximizes minimal tackle in tiny boats...also check out that Dudley wacky worm. Hard to tell from the TW pics, but also looks like a flat profile, maybe good for cutting @ different lengths or in half for hover rigs.

I actually have a few packs of the Dudley wacky worms. They're puffed up on either end and work nicely for a wacky rig. I haven't tried them on a hover rig yet.
Ozark rig by core tackle is same as the hover rig but is meant to Texas rig. I’m sure you’re aware of it by now but if not.. check it out

Great video! How well do they work from the bank?

They work great from the bank!
What’s your rod reel and line set up? Specifically line? Thanks!
@LowBrowFishing
Жыл бұрын
I use a lighter finesse setup. A 7' medium or medium light rod on a spinning reel with 10 lb braid to a 8 or 10 lb fluoro leader that's about 10 - 12 feet long. That's what I generally use for finesse fishing.
On Grub, tail up or down?

Tail down or tail to the side is normally how I like to do it.
I have these, caught bass right away, but cant seem to get deeper fish with it. When throw to shallow shore i smash em. Im sure its me.

Those fish may be suspended and just want it right above their head. They can be super finicky at times!
