PARENTS: you can sue this school district if your child was ARD’d services like resource, In class support, etc. Whatever your ARD meeting said your kids gets, but they’re not getting currently, YOU CAN GO THROUGH DUE PROCESS

The students are admitting they don't want to learn. Too busy with their cellphones.

Cell phones get put away when instructed in most cases. The main problem is there are class rooms where smart boards needed to do the lesson plans were removed in key courses. Media projectors no longer available and teachers or loaners had to provide them temporarily as some classrooms were not ready for the teachers and students. . Timers straining learning by RUSHING lessons. Admins disrupting classes and our students say they feel uncomfortable with that and can not focus. Prep times for teachers taken up by unneeded DAILY meetings in the morning cutting time for prep, grading, and updates to parents. Teachers are ONLY required to do prep during school hours and that time WILL BE honored. WHile discipline is a musts and had to improve, the new structure prevents education.

🏫 ~ I’m skeptical of all these changes. But many of them “sound” good. And all this crap about turning schools into prisons it’s just that in my opinion. I was in a white school and I am white and I was secluded several times as a child when I was disruptive. I’m not gonna say that they should not have done more for me, that’s very possible. I don’t remember everything because I was too young, so I don’t remember all the context. But what is better, letting one disruptive child miss out on education or letting them run everybody else’s education in the classroom? The answer is simple. So do what you can for problem children, but you can’t let them disrupt everybody else’s education because they can’t get themselves under control.
