I've moved houses a lot IRL, and the new place has always come equipped with plumbing fixtures (toilets, showers, sinks, etc.), lights and kitchen counters. It would be nice to see that reflected in The Sims 4 in all of the properties you can live in.

I believe the student accommodations in Britechester are technically penthouses. Where their similarities start and end beyond being located on rooftops I couldn't really say as I don't use Britechester often. Another difference between penthouses and residential lots are that residential lots can have up to 8 levels (4 starting from the ground/first floor up, plus another 4 basement levels), whereas penthouses can only have 4 (no basement levels).

You are correct. In both Ubrite and Foxbury, the student housing in each campus' tower complexes will function exactly like City Living Penthouses if you change their lot type from University Housing to Residential.

@@Robert_Burnell-Jones you absolutely can change the lot type to whatever you want! I think the only exceptions are Tiny House and Haunted House. you will simply need a trash chute, an elevator, and any one kind of mailbox due to how Penthouses are coded.

9 levels actually - 4 basement level rooms + 4 above ground level rooms + 1 open air rooftop.

I think I should add that unless your sim likes going outside a lot and bringing their pets wherever they go, do not get a dog if you live in an apartment! Cause whenever my dog had to use the bathroom I had to pick them up and take them outside or go to the park with them like 1-2 times a sim day (sometimes in the middle of the night) I also had to walk my dog more frequently since they couldn't really run around in the apartment. So if you want your sim to live in an apartment, and want a pet, I highly recommend getting a cat.

Dogs can't go downstairs when they are puppies, when they grow up the should be able to go by themselves. If you play with mods, there's a mat the dog can use inside the apartment, I believe it's made by Ravasheen.

I’m making a save file and I wanted at least one vacation rental in every world. I thought I was out of luck with San Myshuno before I realized you can change the penthouses to rentals

the only thing i want regarding apartments is the ability to make my own, freedom to edit apartment halls and more worlds with apartments..maybe even duplexes?

I love the flexibility of the penthouse lots! They're my favorite lot type to build on since the outside appearance is already decided from the apartments below, but I can still have fun with the shape and the interior 😍 Great video Petey 😊

I hardly use the Penthouses, but when I do, I think I have a mod that allows me to delete all the Livemode objects if I wanna choose to..., like the windows, doors, mailbox and trashshutes, noticeboard, etc. (including neighbors doors if I feel evil ...lol) In the last dozen plays I did in PH's, I have raised the floor because I hate the awfully high walls.., they're just too damn tall for their own good.

There are also Tiny House residential lots.

I divorced Diego Lobo because he would not woohoo my sim after she had a baby. She really tried to make the marriage work. The fireplace couldn’t fix it. 😂

You forgot an important detail. It's now inconvenient to play in apartments because of a wall bug. Or EA it already been fixed?

I had no idea penthouse mechanics were different from apartments.

Jannie :). So the industrial rectangle one, an the very modern looking one are both on the gallery! The one with all the sunflowers, as well as the one with the fish tanks in the walls are not yet on the gallery (but I plan to pop them up in the future once I tweak them a little bit, apologies!). The very tiny house is up on the gallery too.

As discussed in the replies to my own comment above, penthouses can be changed to any lot type, so I don't see why not a rental. :)

There is a difference between Houses and Penthouses/Beach Houses. Houses can have 8 levels while penthouses can only have 4 levels and same for beach houses cause they can't have basements.
