Add all the outlets! Extra for things above cabinets, in the kitchen island, any place you would want to decorate, in the bathroom, etc. Lighter floors do hide dog hair better than medium or darker😂. Since you’re planning on kids, you can always think to have built in baby gates places too.

Used to live in Austin and LOVED it! Not sure where y'all are at, but you have to try Verdes Mexican Parrilla - it's on the west side of Austin, close to Dripping Springs/Beecaves area. SO GOOD. Bacon wrapped quail and their queso is to die for.
