She’s so sweet and has made a beautiful home for her family.

I think everyone can relate to the before pictures of this house so it’s so cool to see what you can do if you go for it with paint and accents. Really nice!

Jewel is the Queen of Mixology! This home is amazing, so interesting and thoughtful.

Thoroughly enjoyed this tour. It actually felt like more than a tour - it felt like I was visiting a friend's home. Something that is not explicitly mentioned and is probably my favorite aspect of the home is the great mix of high/low. Absolutely loved the lighting, the flea market finds and the DIYs together. Also, I noticed that she doesn't name drop but rather gives credit. And what binds the home together, besides her expertise, of course, is the designer's love for personal history in all aspects of the home. She said that a lot of blood, sweat and tears went into her upholstered chairs. But I feel like that's the story for every item shown on the video. Thank you, Mrs. Marlowe!!

Jewel initially comes across with a kind of 'Southern Belle' vibe - - until you really start listening to her - and then you fall in love. What an absolutely lovely girl. So many beautiful touches. There is something very fresh about her world. Thank you, Alison, for the great videos - and for giving your owners a chance to shine.

I loved the home because it was her. No text book decorating, you could feel her heart and soul went into it…. That’s what design is about and the outcome will alway exude comfort and love…… I really enjoyed this home tour. Thank you.

She is so lovely and seems very down-to-earth. I love that she mixes everything. It truly looks like a home that has been lived in for years and not some big which boring box which seems to be the style of every home improvement or decorating show nowadays.

I can't think of a home tour of recent that I have enjoyed more. The color choices, lighting and use of beautiful vintage and antiques mixed with modern art all work to create a relaxed glamor that is a joyful at every turn. I especially enjoyed the use of wallpaper murals framed to look like art. The master bedroom was beyond gorgeous. So many great ideas to copy.

Lovely. I know how you feel. Married to a army career man. So much moving. After 42yrs of moving from army, government, and contract job we finally moved back home in Texas. No more moving. My home is full of stuff from places we've lived. Thank God we made it home.

I love your home. I am a former military dependent child. We moved so much that I went 6 different elementary schools. My father was stationed at the Pentagon when I was young, we spent some time in Europe and after a 20 year career dad retired at Ft. Eustis, VA. I identify with your glamour, colorful and eclectic style...abstract beautiful!

Stunning home! She has a great eye and has many wonderful pieces. The only room I did not like was the dining room as I thought it was "over the top" with the wallpaper, different chairs, pink tablecloth and pompoms on table. Everything seem to be competing for the eye. I can totally relate to moving around a lot. I don't do it as much as her but I have lived on 4 continents. I also liked the before photographs. Interesting to see how much it changed!

Gorgeous. I was watching and wishing I had a house like this, and as I watched I realized I do! Same entryway, same dining room, same staircase, exactly the same fireplace. Builders in the northeast must source the same mayerials for their builds.

Just came across this video, very well edited! And also very real. The homeowner's explanations on all the pieces, her obvious knowledge on pairing old with new, artwork....Her delight in her (very skilled) DIY projects, and her very real and raw pull back to this house, having borne a child here before....it all felt very authentic and priceless. And what a testament to making a "house a home" when you have to pick up and do that every 1-2 years! Your children are blessed to have you make that effort. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!

Beautiful tasteful eclectic mix. I love that you came back to this house after your military tours and made it a permanent home. She is so friendly I’d love to sit and have dinner there.

I watch a lot of these home tour videos (#Homeworthy is one of my favorites), but I don’t think I’ve ever seen one with an interior designer that’s also a military spouse. Shoutout to all of the military families, God bless you all 🫶🏽. I love her overall design aesthetic and especially love her advice about choosing your style and owning it, a point well made. She loves the same things I love in interior design- wallpaper (LOVE the laundry room), architectural moldings (adds character), lots of painted [saturated] color, mixing old & new pieces, and beautiful light fixtures. Matter of fact, I think that’s something to utilize in homes with young children that are also well lived in. Put the glitzy/grownup details up out of their reach!

I totally get it. As a military spouse you pick up something wherever you go. Your style tends to become global and uniquely your own. Beautiful and inspiring - loved that laundry room and the dining room chandelier and ceiling. Very cool wallpaper choices. Thanks for the great tour - I felt like tearing up with you.

Hope she doesn’t have to move again. Military life is not easy on anyone and it was a dealbreaker with my first serious boyfriend. I just knew I could not live that life. No regrets whatsoever! Jewel’s home is a reflection of her and thrilled she has been able to make it her own! ✨🌞✨

Gorgeous transformation.

This home is distinctive in being glamorous and yet also colorful, fun, and relaxed. So many interesting pieces throughout! I do wish that the camera work would sync up with the owner’s narrative, so that when she speaks of a painting, the camera would show the whole painting, not just the bottom third of it. All the objects in this home, including her wonderful DIY projects, were terrific, and I would have liked the camera to show more of them. But, that aside, this was such a fun tour, with a fun homeowner/designer!
