I love it when a house is beautiful and looks as though you can actually LIVE in it. Not as though it was designed and renovated to within an inch of it's death. She has a lovely personality too.

She is amazing. We all have so much to learn from her approach to decorating: don't be afraid to move things around, change things, live with them for a while, and then adjust. Spectacular.

How lovely it would be to spend an afternoon with this fabulous lady. Loved her home

Her home is a feast for the eyes. I love her father's advice to be able to sit in any chair in your home and see something beautiful. I'll try it in my own and let it guide my choices.

In the mid 1990s we lived in a house in Kemptown in Brighton. Annie's mum lived next door and was so proud of her daughter that she told me all about her the very first time she introduced herself. I love her relaxed carefree style and, like her, I am always looking and changing at home. It's a life long hobby!

Bottom line - wish there was someone like an Annie Sloan in my family, in my immediate sphere. It would have been helpful. Love her depth of spirit, and a path/circumstance that quite obviously and actively expresses her particular kind of wonder, surfeit reserve of craft and tool, intimacy and affinity for ancient tale and spirits. OMG, I love this woman. It was so nice to see that she surrounds herself with her own beautiful and imaginative paintings. So much talent and wisdom and freedom in her style and her way of thinking. I feel that she has probably been this way all her life and I hope all those around her realize how special she is.

As I watched, I thought about her grandchildren and the joy and imaginative fun they’d have in this home; so warm and inviting

Thoroughly enjoyed this home and "meeting" Annie Sloan. I want to remember how she described what makes a house a home. "You know this isn't a hotel room." Yes, Annie. Yes!

Isn't she fabulous. I love that she puts the same value on a seed pod as a piece of fine art. The cobweb on the Indian fighting man made me giggle, I have plenty of those too.

Have quite a collection of Annie Sloan paints, stencils, and decopauge papers and have used them in painting furniture. Very forgiving and easy to use. Annie has a very relaxed attitude in her classes which makes everyone feel like they can be successful and creative. Lovely teacher.!

How wonderful. I won $500 worth of ASCP about 10years ago. Have painted so many things. Am using her paint now for frames for my collages

The perfect shade of green and portraits all around! Gorgeous home. I love the whole thing!

Oh, I love the green painted frame of the mirror , the green painted hall with a beautiful pink and the paint on the floor of the stairwell gives balance to all in that area. This lady, Mrs. Ann has a wider styles and she’s very artistically inspired and gifted that no wonder she needs and occupied a fourth floor building with all of her’s possessions. And why not. They’re lovely! I’m kind of minimalist-eclectic/victorian style person in the last few years however, I admired people who’ve large homes and are able to decorate their home with all their delighted things. Some people looked at and may think that the huge amount of things in the rooms are as though is a store but I can recognize that Mrs. Sloans, decors evokes finest, and reality of a great artist.

How beautiful is Annie and her home. She is so interesting and I'd like very much to sit and sip tea, talking to her for hours. Love the use of colour and story throughout her home. xx

🇬🇧 Dear Annie Sloane, my Irish Grandmother's name was Annie Sloane, born 22nd Oct. 1893 at Duncannon Fort. Ireland. Died, 7th February 1969. Buried in Ipswich cemetery. Annie's parents were Patrick Sloane/Slone and Annie, née O'Connor . My Great Grandmother. Both Buried in Ipswich Cemetery. Their children were Bridget, Ellen 'Nell', Annie, Patrick, Frederick, William and Thomas. I also think that there was Mary. I live near Oxford , and as I pass your shop I've often thought about writing to you. Lovely home. Thank you for your video.

Annie Sloan is so inspirational and gracious.Wonderful to see her lovely home. So characterful and cosy. I recently downsized from a large Town house to a country cottage. I have kept all my pictures and ornaments as everything has a fond memory attached.

I am in the middle of being guided around your wonderful home Annie, and just absolutely love it. How refreshing to see a home with character, personality and fabulous colour. I agree with so much of what you say about different houses one goes into which are contrived, dull and far too tidy to be true. Since watching your entertaining video, I took stock and realised just how much of my home is painted in Annie Sloan paint! I could never have done without it.

Thank you Annie, I love everything about how you are and what you created in your home. Absolutely amazing. I adore colour and could not live in a beige or grey house. Well, I could but I would start adding colour, it's in ones blood. I could be best friends with you, lol. 😅 I am from South Africa and have been to Zimbabwe, Namibia, Botswana, etc, and there really is something beautiful about good antique African wood. They are so creative. I am also Italian and live in Europe now, so I have this love of design and beauty. I get you, I resonate as they say because I am very eclectic. The chalk paint is a wonder!!! What a brilliant invention. This home is happy, with the painted piano to enjoy, and the painted dinning room table, the orange table, the art, rugs, the studio, etc, etc, it all brings me so much joy. That is what a home should be, a place to throw off your shoes as you say, fill it with family, love, food, and creativity. You father was right. To sit in a chair and look at a place or an object and see if it looks good.? I also can't be in a place that I can't stand to look at. I agree. If you read these comments Annie, thank you. I love the way you have decorated your home, I find that your style of decorating is never boring, there is always something new that you missed before! Love all the colors, it is wonderful!!

A bit too much popping colour and pattern for my taste. But I did really *love* the earthy pink in the entryway. And she is a lovely, artistic lady. She has some really beautiful old paintings, and interesting decorative objects. The "Tattoo urn" was pretty, and the the old carved wooden doors were full of character - I *love* the Rococo screen in her blue room! I'd call her style "Artistic Colourful Maximalism".
