House of the Silence by Fran Silvestre Arquitectos

This unique project seamlessly combines the world of music with the comfort of home in a bustling residential area near Valencia. The focal point of the design is a semi-buried structure on the ground floor, meticulously crafted to house the musician's recording studio. This concrete sanctuary within a concrete shell is a testament to precision acoustics, ensuring that every note and sound is captured flawlessly.
The ground floor is thoughtfully divided into an inviting entrance hall and the public living spaces of the home, all harmoniously connected to the lush garden and inviting pool. The use of natural cement mortars in their raw gray form creates a seamless flow from the exterior to the interior, blurring the lines between the two worlds.
Above this ground-floor masterpiece sits a pristine volume that houses the private night area. It is elegantly adorned with white lime mortars, creating a facade that appears closed to the outside world. However, it surprises with its secret fifth facade, opening up to intimate patios nestled within adjoining gardens. Here, residents can revel in the beauty of nature and the serene embrace of silence, making this musician's studio-home a true oasis of creativity and tranquility.
