This whole time I thought that goofy ass laugh 2:10 was coming from Steve but it turns out it’s Charles. AlllRIGHT! 😆

I liked Rhaenys' reasoning. She wasn't on Rhaenyra's side at that point. As far as she knew, Rhaenyra & Daemon killed her son. It wasn't in her interest to help either side. She had to be won over.

This is the first time these guys have come on my feed & of course I had to click on a GoT/HotD reaction video. I kept thinking, where do I know the guy on the end from?! Of course I googled it & figured out he was one of my favs back in my TMZ watching days. He was often the comic relief/voice of reason so I like seeing this side of him. For what Van said around 16:15, the show definitely does skew more in the blacks direction although I personally don’t think it’s a problem. The book seems to skew much more in the greens direction if anything although a lot of the negative portrayal of Rhaenyra seems like it could be due to the unreliable narrator aspect. I think this season the show will make an attempt to balance out the feeling that there’s definitively a good and bad side and the end of the first episode is already a step in that direction

Assume the main reason Rhaenys didn’t kill them all when she had the chance was kin slaying. Probably the biggest stigma there is in the SOIAF universe. Would have been a mass case of it. Also she wasn’t fully on Team Black at that point.

"She is telling the truth" is wack as fuck. That scene is not about truth and lies. It is about difficult choices and aftermat. Imagine the Red wedding getting butchered and made about Killing Rob and not about Arya witnessing the crime and escaping. GRRM took his time to craft his scenes, all these fake ass writers should write their own stories not ruin George's with their half developed brain.

This podcast would be infinitely better without Charles.
