Sunfyre did everything possible to turn over in the air during the fall and land on his wounded stomach to give Aegon the opportunity to survive. The certified good boy, I felt so bad for him, getting beaten nonstop and he was so happy earlier when he met Aegon, literally the only soul in this world that loves Aegon:/

It is officially the beginning of the end of House Targaryen

Rhaenyra already has Syrax, Daemon’s Caraxes, Baela’s Moondancer, Jacaerys’ Vermax, Joffrey’s Tyraxes and Aegon’s Stormcloud. Now she will also get Addam’s Seasmoke, Hugh’s Vermithor and Ulf’s Silverwing. Rhaenyra will have 9 dragons while Aegon’s side has 1? 2? Aegon’s Sunfyre can’t fly, so it leaves only Aemond’s Vhagar and Helaena’s Dreamfyre which she never rides. So its really only Aemond’s Vhagar against Rhaenyra’s nine dragons. What are they waiting for honestly? Why not take King’s Landing and the Iron Throne immediately?

I believe getting at least a couple hits in on Vhagar were worth the price of dying to Rhaenys. There‘s no use ignoring the fact that Vhagar is the biggest and oldest dragon and known to war, so wounding her could give others a bigger chance at defeating her. The part I don’t understand is why only send Rhaenys and Meleys, when the Blacks knew that facing Vhagar could always be a possibility? Caraxes would’ve been best, but I believe that any second dragon, be it Moondancer, Vermax or Syrax, would’ve made a huge difference in the Battle of Rook‘s Rest.

Addam Velaryon claiming Seasmoke surely means Laenor Velaryon died, right? You can’t claim a dragon while its dragonrider is still alive.

In the book he died as well, the show changed it to make him die off screen but there was never supposed to be an alternate person who was killed it was him killed in the book

This is one of the only changes that I don't like. In the books, Laenor is stabbed and Corlys recovers his unburned body. I don't think the actor is coming back, so the change seems pointless to me. Besides this and Harold Westerling somehow still being alive, the other changes from the book are actually pretty good!

Another possible theory is, Addam and Alyn's mother (or one of her ancestors) could possibly a Targaryen bastard too

Let’s just hope the writers carry on like they have been, and mix things up a bit. I don’t want everything to happen exactly as it did in the book.

I think they will. Rhaenyra also has more of a part in this series than in the book. She's not sheltered away while her council fights her battles. I would assume because of the slight change in her personality and more agency, her relationship with Corlys might be different. I guess we'll have to wait and see, but I don't see her believing Corlys or Addam will betray her. But on the other hand, its great storytelling so who knows.

I do love the show. Pretty much the way they are *telling the story works👍🏻… There are some things I really *don’t like, mostly what they’ve done/are doing to Daemon, and which way they are pulling him, while making Cole look like some kind of military hero, at least at the moment.

tbh It is possible for two blonde parents to have a child with brown hair if there are ancestors in their lineage who had brown hair. In this case, the parents could carry the genetic alleles for brown hair, even if they themselves have blonde hair (or any other hair-colour except brown itself)

I am so glad I am not the only one that was gutted at all the poor dragons within this last episode. Granted they're not nice to each other by simple nature but as they are being influenced by their bonded rider it is so avoidable, i'm so glad its not real but just heartbreaking.

Maybe she did try but they refused. That actually can happen, when Aemond claimed Vhagar she first tested him. It's not like picking a dog from the streets, the bond Is magical and made with blood. iirc Vermithor even burned a bunch of pretenders before accepting Hugh Hammer.

because targs have a tradition of placing dragon eggs in the child's cradle which obliterates their chances to claim any older dragon if the egg hatches. ironically that's why greens seem to have an advantage. their eggs either didn't hatch or no one cared to give them one so they ended up claiming some of the oldest dragons (vhagar, dreamfyre). it's a bit confusing with sunfyre. in the book aegon claims him as a teen so the dragon is obviously not his cradle-mate. the show is silent on this matter. it seems daeron's tessarion is the only cradle hatchling. there are also shrykos and morghul who are jaehaerys and jaehaera's hatchlings but i don't think they even exist in the show

Well, things in the books don't exactly get witnessed by us in the TV series, we shall have to see what exactly happens in the following episodes and season(s).

Honestly, i doubt the fall of Kings landing will haooen in season two. It would all be too rushed to squeeze in all the events leading up to the fall of KL in what is effectively three episodes left of this season. I think theyll make the fall of KL mid-season finale or finale of Season 3.

Im pretty sure you don't have to be a Targaryen specificaly to tame a dragon, just have Valyrian blood (after all in old Valyria Targaryens weren't the only ones with dragons)

The ability to ride dragons isn’t a Targaryen thing. It’s a valyrian thing. Velaryons are also of valyrian descents

Maybe west of Westeros, there's another world of kingdoms and dragon riders, not Targaryens, we can only imagine enjoying.

Seeing dragons fight and destroy one another was so satisfying. Imagining them dying of old age is so painful and sad. It's like an old dog that loses his eye sight or an old man with diapers.

*Spoilers* Dragonseeds: claims dragons Hugh hammer- Vermithor Adam- Seasmoke Ulf the white- Silverwing Nettles- Sheepstealer Two of these dragonseeds would turn out to be a betrayers (first black and then the greens)

Hugh hammer is riding vermithor GRRM confirm this in his vlog. Also They are cutting nettles and giving sheepstealer to Rhaena (Daemon daughter without the dragon). GRRM is very angry with this take and he has written this on his vlog that he won't be sitting in the writers room in S03

The sound effects team nailed the dragon's pain. I had to mute the TV, yeah I'm that sensitive lol. Felt like when the Direwolves died. Couldn't care less about people dying lol, only the "animals" even if they're fake.

No, silverwing or seasmoke will fly away. I can't recall which one now but another three will surely die.

I thiught Targaryens were the only ones to have the connection to dragons. How did the first guy manage that and he has no Targaryen blood?

So arent there more legitimate Verlyrons left that can claim dragons?.. 🤨

They are cutting nettles and giving sheepstealer to Rhaena (Daemon daughter without the dragon). GRRM is very angry with this take and he has written this on his vlog that he won't be sitting in the writers room in S03

I wished Rhaenyra knew who would be loyal and who not.

Surely l think they changed will have Vhaegar fight Rhaenyra & Daemon. Daemon’s fate remains the same but Queen will live.

I think that her role has been already fused with Alys Rivers, Nettles was most likely the one who taught Daemon all the weirwood stuff.

Addam should have claimed Vermethor. not seasmoke.

I wonder why her dragon is still so small while it can roam free.
