We read about that today! Honestly good for him, he seems to have a good understanding of the character and a vision for how he should be depicted. I'm not sure if it was the same interview but he also mentioned how it was his idea to have Aemond take the coin last episode and be twirling it in his hand this episode. A keepsake to remind him of Daemon and the attempt.

for the your grace thing. Im pretty sure if the king is the ruler then his wife is the queen, but if the Queen is the monarch then her husband is prince, not king. so maybe "your grace" needs to have the King or Queen title

That is very interesting! Looking into the British monarchy, it seems Queen Elizabeth's husband was Prince Charles. I wonder why that is....

⁠@@BingetowntvI’m not sure of the exact reason, but if my memory serves me, the husband of a reigning queen monarch is referred as a ‘Prince Consort’ and if the sitting monarch is a king, the wife is the ‘Queen Consort.’ And I think you meant Prince Philip. 😊

It looks like the reason is because the title "King" is usually interpreted to be of a higher office than "Queen", and since they are not the reigning monarch the use of "Prince Consort" is more appropriate for their role/level of power. And you are correct absollutely correct about Charles/Phillip! I first looked up Charles, realized I was wrong, looked up Phillip, and then typed Charles in my reply lol.

They have consistently referred to that position as king consort in the show. That may be what's making things confusing. Nobody knows what to call him.

Looking back it seems a bit obvious that he shouldn't be called Your Grace since they made a point to put that interaction in the show....but we were definitely confused lol

the book reader complaints are the weirdest thing when they above all should know that the book isnt 100% trustworthy. Am i wrong in thinking that?

Yea I think its hard for some people to have an open mind when they read a story and really enjoy it, then see that story in a different medium and its been changed. I would say Fire & Blood is the easiest book to have an open mind about though because most big events have 3 different perspectives given! They are setting themselves up for failure by expecting a word-for-word interpretation. Thankfully I (Kyle) have been loving it as a book reader!

Is it me or is destiny the villain of the story ? The fact that they’re all slaves to their own characters… And man Deamon is a menace ! Love you guys covering HOTD sending some flowers from Paris 🇫🇷

Certainly a lot of things happening either outside of characters' control or because they believe they need to act a certain way for one reason or another. Also a lot of rash decisions being made! GRRM loves the phrase "the human heart in conflict with itself" and it seems HOTD is really leaning into that idea with almost every main character: Rhaenyra, Alicent, Cole, Aegon II, Daemon to an extent. There has been a lot of interesting character work done these 3 episodes! We really appreciate the love! How are you feeling about the upcoming Olympics?

@@Bingetowntv Oh that’s well observed!! The saddest part is that King Viserys tried as hard as possible to prevent this… It was inevitable, that tragic in a way… Oh yes the Olympics are scaring tourists here which is funny hahaha, we have great athletes so I’m not worried about the Olympics, the scariest part is the politics (like everywhere I guess…) and depending on who governs, the impact it may have…

Yes you aren't wrong about the political aspect of it all. Hope things go as well as can be reasonably expected and you can enjoy some of the positives that come from hosting the games. We'll be keeping a big eye on volleyball and swimming ourselves!
