I mean he's still a rapist but yes I agree. In s1 he was shown to be alright but his mother was forcefeeding him bs, this season he's still the same character as s1 just with power. I assume he'll get worse with time but he's never been on the level of joff ala cruel for cruel's sake. None of the main characters r on the level of joff really. They're all morally gray. alicent misheard a dying man, aemond's dragon showed him who was really in control, rhae got betrothed to a gay man, little things that spiral into big things beyond anyone's control

Jody is so wrong on his take about viserys' last words on his deathbed. Viserys thought he was talking to his daughter rhaenyra.

You was right Jody that was the mother not the sister like E-man said. Aegon married his sister and had kids with her. The scene is more emotional in the books but it was still shocking seeing it in the show. There’s going to be a lot of action in these next few episodes.

I am team black and the only green I like is Helaena feel so bad for her loosing her baby boy, hope they catch the killers for Helaena's sake. I don't want to be a ass but Alicent did start this whole conflict between greens and the blacks he is so right.

Cole was supposed to be on duty. He was fucking with Allicent instead. Had everybody been doing what they were supposed to be doing and on guard, that wouldn’t have happened.

E-man is forgetting that the Queen is "special" in the head. In a traumatic experience like that she's not going to be scheming. That child is 100% dead. Episode 1 already being this out of pocket just has me saying "hold onto your butts" like Sam Jackson in Jurassic Park 😂 Also I was LOLing at Mariam dropping that 50 spot right before some baby killing 🤣☠☠

Jody the reason your logic is trash is because he clearly told alicent in the throne room that he wanted to be in sound mind when he said everything he said in the throne room that his daughter and her son where his heirs. He told her specifically that to her face when she told him to take something for the pain. Which means when he was on the milk of poppy for the pain in his bed that he was not in his clear mind when he was talking to alicent.

I'm sorry to say this ladies but Alicent reacted like a woman would in that situation EMOTIONALLLLL! if she had called a meeting with the small council a LOGICAL man would have pointed to the fact there were two Aegons. Her father knows this but ran with it because he's been a snake from the start.

Mysaria more beautiful than Rhaenyra? Lol beauty is subjective. I think they are both very beautiful in their own way.

Both sides had points both sides were assholes but at the end of the day Rhaenyra is the lawful queen. Otto was gonna make damn sure she wouldn’t be queen because if she is daemon would definitely kill him and he’s afraid of him. Had daemon been on the council with viserys he would’ve shut all that down that’s why Otto made a lie that daemon said his nephew was “heir for a day” just to get him kicked out. Alicent is sympathetic but she has no room to talk because she put the thoughts in Aegon head that Rhaenyra would kill him once she got on the throne.

We never saw Daemon say "son for a son". He said "Eye patch on an eye, should be easy to find" or something along those lines. He might have, but we didn't hear it from him. That guy could act on his own for the $ too. Even if Daemon ordered him to do that, I see no problem in eye for an eye situation. You take my son and don't apologize fasho. Not the same....Ned had a WRITTEN change Alicent only had words...and he did think he was talking to his daughter because Rhaenyra was the last one he tallked to...he had no sense of time so to him he briefly dozed and thought his daughter was still there not knowing it was Alicent. He was so high on drugs and delirious it was easy to mistake the two women

Yeah in the book alicent and Otto were so pissed, and actually frighten of what was too come, but in the show they downplayed it a lot and they seem not to be even threaten by the the blacks

rhanerya says a quick line in season 1 about boars squealing like children when they're being slaughtered. right before they kill the boy in this episode, he sounds just like a pig squealing. crazy writing

Well, they ruined Blood&Cheese all right, could have been one of TV history's most haunting moments, another Red Wedding, but instead the show's version was a complete let down, rushed and underwhelming to say the least. If only they adapted the book's version which was perfection!!!! In the book Daemon gave the order to murder Aegon's heir not Aemond, a son for a son he said. It wasn't a mission gone wrong, typical Daemon didn't give a rat's ass about the babies, in the book Viserys adored his grandchildren and used to tell them stories of ancient Valyria. Blood and Cheese sneaked into Alicent's room through the secret passageways Rhaenyra used to get out of the Red Keep in the first season, they gagged Alicent and waited. When Helaena arrived with her three babies, Blood killed her guard before proceeding to grab her eldest son, Prince Jaehaerys, while Cheese took hold of her younger son, Prince Maelor. Then she was asked on which of her sons she wanted them to kill, the queen pleaded with them to kill her instead, which was turned down and Blood reminded her that it has to be a son, warned Helaena that she and her children would die if she screamed. They threatened they would rape her baby daughter if she didn't make a choice soon. When she was once again forced to make the impossible choice under the threat that all of her children will be killed, the queen tearfully chose Maelor, the youngest son, she believed that Maelor was too young to understand. Seeing that she had chosen Maelor, Cheese whispered into the boy's ear, mockingly saying, "You hear that, little boy? Your momma wants you dead." Instead they decapitaded Jaehearys to Helaena's horror, and she began to scream. This is by far the superior Blood&Cheese version. In the show the guards had vanished, made no sense, kicking the dog was more impactful and Alicent humping Cole at the end took away from Haelena's tragedy, people were laughing. Idk, and it's not like the book readers anticipated to witness the beheading of a baby, it's just that GRRMs version of a mother's impossible choice would have made for great drama, a lost opportunity indeed I might add.

I loved the episode but This show should’ve never went with that aegon azorai hai ice and fire rabbit hole itll lead to plot holes 🕳️and inconsistencies

The sound of the chainsaw in the end will never leave my mind. Just the idea of having a mother choose like that is messed up.

The greens didn't protect their queen's apartments and heirs because they don't care about Haelena. Rhaenyra had a personal guard who kept watch outside her door while there was no war. Alicent is a very, very bad mother because she ptotegerized herself more than her daughter the Queen and the heirs. It’s a shame for the Greens because NO ONE was looking out for the well-being of the Queen and her children. they were all too busy fucking and hiding for that. It's Alicent and Cole's fault that The Heir is dead. Team Black 🖤❤️‍🔥
