The property was last lived in by Mrs C and Mr C. Mrs C passed away in 1908 at the age of 55. Since it has been passed down into the family but no one living in the house. Planning permission was put in on 2 occasions in 1998 for the Erection of livestock building and storage unit but that got refused. Then In 2000 for Erection of agricultural building which was granted conditionally. The calendar’s left around the property we’re all left on the January page and they weren’t used as calendars they were either not written on or used to write numbers down. It seems as if work had started in the property but since it has just been left.

did not know that livestock buildings or storage barns came under such tight regulation...
The majority of this home is covered in a thick dust except for the wheelbarrows wood and the 2x6's piled up for kindling in the kitchen near that fireplace. The blue plastic bag hanging from the ceiling doesn't have any dust either. Those plants are definitely real and alive and cared for. You guys found the remarkably sound but owned and being renovated property. You're lucky you didn't get busted on this one. You need to keep your eyes peeled guys 👍☮️🇺🇲
What a lovely find, so many memories in that house, if walls could speak? Fantastic location, thank you for sharing guys really loved it. Stay safe both of you.
Wow what a sweet cottage. Love the color and the cute kitchen. That moon thing was awesome and the old carved bear cool. Looks like someone was renovating upstairs. Also the old cowboy book was a treasure. BEAUTIFUL from outside and what lovely area. So peaceful. Thanks for sharing great job.🥰
I watch so many of your urban explorations and there are so many valuable, desirable antiques, trinkets and bits popular with American collectors! Wow!!! Some of the pottery, furniture, baby prams w dolls etc go for quite a bit of cash here. Such a shame that all of these lovely and beautiful homes are left to be forever abandoned or demolished. Hopefully they find new lives w renovations!!! Love your videos and the respect you have for these time capsules!
I think you'll find the plants are real. They are very hardy houseplants. They must be in the right conditions i.e. damp with the right amount of light.

Glad I subscribed to your videos. They never disappoint. You give good detailed walk arounds every time. Great locations with great finds. Keep them coming guys.👍
I had the exact same thought as you when we first saw the picture on the mantel. lol Really nice job, you two. Beautiful place inside and out. :D
Thankyou for taking your time to show us such an interesting explore . Would love to know the whole story behind this abandoned property. Such a shame that it seems to be left to decay . Looks like the renovation is well on hold. Beautiful surroundings.
The small piece of wire the young lady pointed out hanging up in the kitchen is called a cheese wire great find guys thanks xx
Stunning little place, just found you guys and have subscribed! Well done I've got some good vids to watch now 😊
What a gem of a place it looks like it being renovated I hope it is because it will be such a lovely home
Canny video..love..uz...great spirit..god bless....✌️🙏🙏👍👍👏🏻👏🏻
Good explore.. thanks for being so thorough when doing the explore and putting things back as they were found. Never know what maybe found..
I've come late to this video as it was made before I found you and subscribed. I have a feeling I've seen this location before and possibly the inside of the cottage, though if so it has had renovations upstairs, since my first viewing. It's a beautiful old cottage and well worth saving and renovating and the surroundings are just stunning. Really enjoyed the explore.
Absolutely stunning cottage and would love to live there. Thank you for sharing. 😁

Great find, such a shame for this place to be left empty and to rot with full of memories of the family who lived there, hope it can be saved, i would love to have it!!!!
Lovely
Should be a museum. Amazing.
I noticed a cheese cutting wire on the ceiling in the second room next to the hard hat and the cowboy book was from the 1980 I remember my boys having that pop up book and the lampshade in the bedroom the red striped one is from the 1980 I remember buying one the same to go with curtains and bedding for my boys bedroom .you look around these houses and wonder how people lived like that not a little bit of comfort everything so bleak and dark and a very hostile place in the winter on them moors but beautiful to take photos great video again both i love watching them .
Nice explore. Was rather concerned about the kitchen plants, not fake ones as would not be in saucers under pots if fake. Also power is still on, greatly relieved when you found the refurb had started. Cheers
Someone is defo renovating I think, plaster is off all the walls too, love that bear
My brother had that cowboy book in the late 50s. It might have belonged to our older cousin first. When I was very small, around 1956, my mother took me to visit her uncle. He was a master clog maker living on the moor near Haworth and his cottage was very similar. When I went to uni in Bradford I found the foundations of it but the cottage was gone, most of the stone carted away, presumably to make another building or repair a wall. All I found standing was the side wall of the small workshop that might previously have been a cow stall or something similar. The outdoor toilet was gone too. My memory of the house was a very clean, whitewashed interior with basic but beautiful old wooden furniture and a black, Victorian cooking stove with a shiny brass fender.

looks like it might be being renovated,, would make a decent home in a fantastic area with stunning views, who wouldn't want to live there.
Awesome video... the calendar tho, kinda kills the 40 years abandonment??

We ask the questions on every place we visit. Unfortunately I wish we knew why!
amazing place. amazing location. I hope the new owners restore the property back to it origional form and restore the fireplaces it would be a shame to see the place lose it historical features like the beams the stone fireplaces for a modern perfect rebuild. By looks of things the damage has already been done which is shame as the fireplaces are main source of heat and there were 4 fireplaces in total. Too small to have radiators in the rooms be better with under floor heating with fireplace. Wilde family lived out there for many years until 10 years ago according to locals. All in all cracking video look forward to the next one really enjoying the videos as I am resting up after fracturing hip and thigh bone after a farm accident
Those plants are real.
Those plants are not fake. They are called Purple Heart Jew. They are quite hardy. Obviously they cannot live 10 years without water. So something weird is going on there.
@marklittler784

Maybe a lot of moisture in the air helps.
Me encanta, I had a feeling that is not abandoned I dont know why but I think that the daughter maybe will repair the house, muchos bsos pareja.
Although that place may not have been lived in since 1908 it has certainly been used since then. Those overalls have been used recently. Those plants are definitely real & whoever is using the house is watering them. The roof has been replaced fairly recently & the plaster had deteriorated to the point that it had to be removed.
This could be a museum .
Some of the Windows look really new
Oh I do miss your intro music 🥰
Going to be lovely once they finish doing it up, which moors are you at?
That house has electricity to it. The unit on the wall to the left of the sink has an orange light lit up. Also radiators, so a boiler fitted. Quite clearly modern work done upstairs with the plasterboard fitted.
That st bruno jar on top of the fireplace was first released for sale in 1996
No doubt vegetation around an exposed property can help as a wind breaker to keep it warmer, the dark stone should really absorb the heat from the sun, even top of the windows to floors double curtains can be as effective as double glazing if not more so, loft insulation is peanuts and would make all the difference especially if there isnt any, if your not loosing as much heat you wouldn't have to put as much in, enclosed porches are especially advantageous at helping keeping a place warm.
The scenery is beautiful. The house? ....
How can it be empty for 40years, if a calendar says 2011?
Wow, rhat was interesting But Noone has come back to finish what was started and live there. 😢 How sad.
some of the artefacts in there, like that wooden teddy, would pay the mortgage off if taken to the right place...
Would be a gorgeous place to live. Does it seem strong enough to do up? Where about a Is it? I would love to look for myself! X
🙃♥️👍🌞💟
The thing hanging from the beam that you couldn’t identify is a cheese cutting wire 😊
how do you find the houses you visit. woud love to look for myself.

Thank you for your concern ❤️
Does it have a garden?
A digital electricity meter with the light still on was seen the the kitchen, also a car stereo cd player on the kitchen table, a compact fluorescent bulb in the light fitting, these are all modern tech, definitely not 40 years old
Trouble with boarding up that's visible from the road it makes it far too obvious its empty it has far more cons than pros it attracts far too much attention, probably why its not been vandalised, the board might be to cover a past broken window or a future one.
THE CALENDAR AT THE BEGINNING OF THE VIDEO SAYS 2011 PLUS THOSE FIRELIGHTERS ARE VERY MODERN AS IN THE PACKAGING STYLE, YOU SURE ITS BEEN ABANDONED FOR 40 YEARS?
Mr Happy jm happy well you will be you call it exploring I call it trespassing and breaking in trespassing

I don't agree. Such people are very careful to do no damage and not to take anything. It's a modern version of exploring in an era where there's all too little opportunity to do so. Private property is all very well but none of us would have had the chance to see and experience this abandoned house without these modern explorers.
Shame such a nice place it's a shame that no as taken the photos maybe family members if any
Those plants look real to me maybe a farmer owns the house with the land
Those plants ARE real..how do they survive
Why do the people who do these explorations seem to be of limited intelligence

Alan Hardy, please read pinned post at the top of the page :) this will explain why it has been abandoned for 40+ years.
At 5 min or so mark, the purse hanging on the wall appears to be a Louis Vuitton. Maybe fake, but who knows.
3:48 Would have been nice if you focused on the writing - it looked like it could have been read by someone viewing this video. (I say that without looking at all the comments so I don't know if someone worked ot out already).
Im sure there's someone still living there I live near it. Deffo not been empty for 40 yrs 🤔
Calendar says 2011 or were my eyes playing tricks?
Is Myra&Ian Brady place close by there?
Absolutely amazing!!!! God bless both of you ❤❤❤
40 years? Are you sure, the calendar was 2011.
40 years I think not some of the belongings being much newer the calendar says 2010 🤔
I am not sure you are meant to burn coal in a woodstove it burns at a higher temperature & might damage the stove.

Just to let you know that the plants in the kitchen window are reel and not fack and it is a shame they will not be keeping the fireplaces as there didn't seem to be any chiminy breasts up stairs.

@@suziesioux1969 I agree. It's sickening that these 2 have a massive sense of entitlement to enter a property "been trying to gain access for 2 weeks". This tells them that they shouldn't be there. Total disrespect for everyone and anything. It only takes a matter of months for a house to show rapid dilapidation. It doesn't mean someone doesn't own the land or house. It's people like this who ruined my relatives house thinking it was "abandoned". We of course only see what they want us to see on camera. Keep off what isn't yours. I'm glad you found the neighbourhood watch journal. You should probably read it. Utter disgrace.
