Great skills, you beat me on tricks and speed, but i didn't have exactly this. I trained to swing a cylindrical lock on a thin chain - dimensions 50mmH×16mmD with a bit tapered edges, ~4mm skinny link chain ~40cm long. I attached a nut and bolt to the vacant end for grip, using it as a untested irl weapon, it was much more heavy though (ok, stil a toy)).. Brought back memories of my initial emigration of one of Baltic states to England. I was 18 and had to wait for middlemen to get us another place to work and live. If i remember it was Hawthorn street in Seven Sisters or near Chelsea, in some spots a bit rough neighbourhood just after the turn of millenia. Knifes were already banned i think, and we didn't know what we got ourselves into. Turns out nothing violent, that time we were lucky. Not so much later, but that thing was painful to recieve. Yours is in better spirit.

Some years ago my neighbour and I lived in identical houses with only the floor plans mirrored. I wanted to wallpaper my living room and, as he had wallpapered his just a few months prior, I asked him how many rolls of wallpaper he had bought. He told me he bought 26 rolls, so I bought the same. Afterwards told him I had 8 rolls left over. He said, "That's funny, so did I!" That's what the measurements in this video are like! 😂🤣

Probably should of asked him if he had any rolls left over before buying. He did buy 26 so he did give you the correct answer. You could have been specific and asked him how many rolls he used. I would have gave you all three no matter what you asked me though. Still funny as hell, I've just learned along time ago not to trust people and ask so many questions that they become tired of me asking.

Just so everyone here knows (Mostly for technical geeks like me - The "11 MM OUTER DIAMETER" Brass Hexnuts are *more commonly* referred to as 1/4"-20 hex nuts. The metric size closest to this size (just slightly smaller) is an M6 nut, which is 10mm outer diameter. M6 nuts are typically 5mm (0.197") thick, so stacking three would equal 15mm height. (0.590") Advertised on one site I managed to find, a 100 piece box of 1/4"- 20 BRASS FINISHED HEX NUTS weighs 0.78lbs, so each nut (I'm guessing) weighs .0078 pounds (3.5380 grams) - - Soooo... Three brass nuts would equal 10.614 grams per 'bead'. A lot of Begleri groups typically shoot for 15 grams per 'bead', so (weight-wise) these would be a little on the light side. If you are experienced with Begleri, maybe conisider adding FOUR nuts, instead of three - for a finished HEIGHT of 0.787" (20mm) and a finished weight of 14.15 grams. (Results may vary, depending on nut type, manufacturer, whether you sanded and polished them - blah, blah. I'm basing this info entirely off of 'Google' searches, not by actually making these myself. Anywho... I was REALLY 'into' making Begleri a few years ago - always searching for something new, easy and cheap to use as the 'beads', so I find this video VERY interesting. It's the way the Begleri are attached in this video - I've never seen that before. Thank you very much for sharing this content, as now it will give me something else (yet again) to make this weekend. 👊

Thanks! Bronze or brass bushings would be worth looking at too. You could also chuck 1/2" solid round rod in your drill press and once carefully centering it, bring it down on a drill bit in a vice. Poor man's lathe. By spinning the round rod, the drill will stay centered in the round rod.

I'm afraid your Google results were not correct. I have M6 brass nuts here. They're only around 4.4 mm high and 10 mm wide. But the biggest problem is that they only weigh 2.2 g each, so even with stacking 4 you'd only get a bead of 8.8 g. I would advise to use M8 brass nuts instead. They're bigger and you need to tie the cord around them REALLY good so the stack stays in place, but they're 5 g each and a stack of three has a nice size with 15 g total...

Not sure why this came across my suggestions, but here I am. When I was in the Army back in 1993 I made a keychain out of 550 paracord. It has been on ever set of keys for every daily driver I've ever owned and I still use it to this day. It's almost 30 years old and, other than being a little dirty, is in perfect shape. I subbed your channel, because I'd like to do this again. I'm not sure if I can due to arthritis and carpal tunnel in my hands, but I see that cord is much cheaper now than it was back in the day. So I think I'll buy a small roll and mess around with it. Cool video and great little skill toy.

After tying the first two cobra knots, place the two cords alongside the thicker inner core and slide the nuts over all three, then tie the second set of cobra knots and finish by burning to seal together (as demonstrated). Doing this hides the strands (unlike above) that sit over the nuts, I think spoiling the look of the polished brass. Who doesn't like playing with polished nuts eh? 🤣

If you only have 550 cord you can still use it. I don't know what type I have but mine is a flat type of paracord(nylon), and it still works. You just have to tighten it.
