"We chose 'Devotion for Tyranny' as the first single because it's probably the most straightforward and uncompromising song on the album, and it perfectly represents the main themes of the album," Hour Of Penance comments. "This animated video is heavily inspired by the mysterious atmospheres of Soulslike games and the hooded man represents the revolutionary vanguard that overthrows the established order based on wealth and oppression, that has left the Earth a barren and sterile land for a deformed and enslaved humanity to live in. The visual references to the elements of the alchemical process are a metaphor for the transformative power of the human will. It's a dystopic vision of a not-so-distant future and a warning."

This sounds much more like their sound and speed and style of "The Vile Conception"-era HoP. Which was my favorite album of that entire year. Very excited to hear this album and see how many more bangers is packed into this one!

This is A standard. They play in this most of their career, though the last two albums were A# standard. They also play 7 strings, though I know some of the older stuff was on 6 strings, still A standard

I love HOP, for the exact reason, that you always get that same stuff with new releases. keeping their style. Why not. Been a fan and devoted follower since my teens ... Never been truly disappointed or fully underwhelmed. An inspiring band for me; 'Regicide' helped me be saved from a deep depression, alongside Behemoth's 'The Satanist.' Also: that animated style and imagery... made me a bit sick in my gorge... Effective art; AI or no AI, it's still 'Art'. Great combination with the sick riffs and beats... ¡¡Adelante, compañeros!!

ai has nothing to do with art. It's quite the opposite. The founder of midjourney openly admitted to have taken millions of images of models, photographers, painters, illustrators etc. to train the ai and without asking for the copyright holder's permission. The ai you're defending is based on thievery. Additionally it has no soul, no creativity and no craftsmenship behind it. It's literally typing words into a prompt and ai does all the work.

AI art is derivative of other works and is not original. So now they have an unoriginal album cover (that quite frankly looks like it used their last album cover as the basis for itself) and an unoriginal AI music video. Way to keep the artistic spirit alive and well 🙌.

People don't realize how much it takes to even get someone willing to do all of this animation for a metal band even with all of the money in the world. Even generating something like this takes a whole lot of time and artistic direction, it's not just clicking a button and you're done.

I wonder if their music is also AI, given how generic it sounds, I wouldn't be suprised if it is. However, the music itself is not really an issue here but rather this sad decision to use AI for the visuals in the video and on the album cover. Disgrace to real artists.
