Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

HEY, YOU SEE DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PLUMBER AS HE SWEAT HIS KNACKERS OFF IN THE LOFT. KEEP TO THE END TO WATCH SOME BONUS FOOTAGE OF WHAT HE DONE TO THIS BALL VALVE IN THIS LOFT AND WHITE WAS THE HOTTEST DAY, INCLUDING A MASSIVE OBSTACLE COURSE ACROSS THE LOFT TO GET TO THE JOCKEY TANK. HE ALSO HAD TO CUT A LEVER VALVE IN TO THE COLD FEED PIPE, SUCH A HOT DAY FOR SUCH A GOOD PLUMBER.

interesting ..back in the day nobody used jet blue on compression fittings...yes threaded joints ok but nowadays we all use jet on compression

Yes I don't think it does much. If the joint is dry and you can load up the nut evenly on the joint then it might work but otherwise it's just a money making gimmick. I remember the first plumbing I ever did on my mothers 40year old house in the 80's. None of the compression joints had any type of sealant on them and none of them had ever leaked. If your pipes fit into the joint squarely then they shouldn't leak. They are plumbing fittings and are designed for that job. I sometimes used to use PTFE or a compound when joining awkward to get to pipes soI didn't have to do them again. Fernox was good, nice and sticky.

when learning the term "if it squeaks it leaks..." and paste prevents that and also helps metal on metal contact.
