Hotpoint HFO3T222WGX Stainless Steel Dishwasher Review

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In this video I explain the features of this stainless steel freestanding dishwasher from Hotpoint before putting it to the test with a full load of dirty crockery.
I was very impressed with the performance of this dishwasher and subsequent loads using my regular eco friendly dishwasher detergent have been equally impressive.

    I love my hotpoint dishwasher, it's a slimline and much better than our old indesit. We have ths ultima with flexi power model but they have stopped selling it now. Good to see it cleaning well and ours cleans everything that it's given. We always use ultra intensive at 2hr 55 as I want it as hot as possible to keep it clean too. Good to see whirlpool hasn't changed much so far....

    Good performance from a stylish dishwasher. It appears that Hotpoint quality has improved recently. Hotpoint's premium range of dishwashers and washing machines all seem to have a more solid feel to them, not Germanic quality but still much improved.Good review Roger.

    Thanx for your reply Roger, I'm with you now. A lot of built in dishwashers have the contols/program guide on the top of the door also. Trouble being you can't see the state of play when the door is shut. I was surprised when you said the Hotpoint cleans/dries better than the Miele. I too had a Bosch made Hotpoint slimline dishwasher which lasted 12 years. They are nowhere near as good quality now. Iv had 2 miele washing machines since 2002, iv slowly seen the quality going down like you said. The latest range of Miele washing machines have lost the sturdy metal door and is plastic instead, have no on/off button or door release button, they have opted for a touch screen control panel for everything. I wonder if the bits we don't see inside have been cheapened off too? Its a shame even a company like Miele have started this cost reduction process. The still keep their prices high though! Love everything you do Roger, wonder if you have ever had any Beko appliances to review and what you thought of them? Best wishes Lee.

    Hi, I have just got the new T223 slimline basically a thinner version of yours and reading through the instructions it says on your first run you should fill the salt compartment with water and then add the 1kilo of salt and run it on an empty machine. Was this different to yours or did you just leave it out? And thanks for the video it simplified a lot of jargon!

    The programmes are printed on the top of the door. I did originally go through this in the video and went through each programme in turn, but it made the video too long so I had to cut it. Ao.com request that the videos are 10 minutes or under but don't mind that I go over that, though I try to keep them under 15 minutes.

    The dishwasher (you said washing machine but I assume you mean dishwasher) at your work will be a commercial machine. I used one in a restaurant I worked in years ago that only took a few minutes. Domestic dishwashers take a lot longer to clean, even longer if you select an eco programme. You’ll probably find the glassware programme to be the shortest, but if you use that you won’t get heavily soiled items clean. As a dishwasher is meant to be turned on and left to do its job, it doesn’t matter to me how long it takes.

    Roger does not lie. He says from the get go, it's a machine to revue. My only thing is.....a dishwasher only works as well as the detergent put into them. Live in the states, rent a house ( not because i'm poor, just moving in the next 2 years to my retirement home), have a crappy dishwasher, found what detergent works best. His dishes may be clean, but the dishwasher is only part of that, in the states, we no longer have enzimes nor bleach in our DW detergents and many work very poor. He was lucky, he used a sample that may have made the DW shine. He is giving HIS opinion as how it went. So....no hate!

  • @ibaisaic

    @ibaisaic

    I mentioned the detergent I used in the demo because as you say the results are affected by the detergent, the same goes when using a washing machine. However, I have been using my regular eco friendly tablets since I made the demo and trying different programmes and I got similar results.

    The dishwasher is very nice, but I am disappointed at one thing...When I opened occasionally to add an extra item I realized it already has dropped the detergent. This dishwasher, not like others I have owned, not even it the heavy soiled program, has a first rinse cycle (water in, rinse, water out) before doing the main wash with the detergent..... So i have to rinse plates in the sink very well, if not the water it washes is dirty, especially with rests of fat, oils, butter or margarine, ... and dishes don't come very clean despite 2h 59 min time washing..... I wish this could be corrected..... The only workaraound I found is to run a "rins cycle" (10 min), then load the detergent tablet, and run the full wash cycle.... Why did they designed it like this? To save 6-7 liter of water of that initial rinse?? They turned an almost perfect machine into mediocre performance....

    The problem is due to you prerinsing the dishes. The turbidity sensor senses clean dishes and skips the prewash stage. Try running the machine with dirty dishes, you'll still get perfect results
