This is a Hotpoint Microprofile 1200, which was the replacement for the Microtronic in 1991. This particular model was sold between 93 and 95, when these were face lifted into the WM series Ultima range. I was kindly given this recently by a fellow collector. Although It’s in generally good working order the drum spider and bearings need replacing - you can hear the drum knocking whilst it is spinning. This model didnt have the lit display (similar to the later WM/WD70 Ultimas) - unfortunately the camera angle didn’t pick up the display that well.
This range was known for its very smooth control, with profile wash heating to make the most out of biological detergents and profile spinning to extract water efficiently whilst caring for clothes and not creasing heavily.
Today the cycle use is Programme 4 - Coloured synthetics on a load of whites. The detergent used today was Ariel Formula Pro+ powder with my staple Lenor Spring Awakening softener.
Please excuse the vibration of the camera during the spins, the kitchen is on a suspended floor and I dont have the best tripod in the world.
