Apparently, something is going on with Hampton hotels, because some have a sign at the door that says you must have a valid ID and a room key to enter the property, and you must present them upon entering. I was at the one in Cranberry, where I saw the sign, so I asked the front desk. The lady said she cannot permit me, but she gave me contact info for the general manager of the hotel. She seemed very interested in the hobby.

Lovely tour; I especially love these full tours. Pity there's no pool but on the upside there's a game room which is quite unique, I stayed at a hotel in Upstate NY (Days Inn I think) with family when I was younger that had one, too.

Nice hotel room and I was in a suite but the shower was massive and it was the best shower I was in and what I like about Hampton inns is the breakfast

I just stayed at this hotel on my way to Charlotte NC. If you stay here and see Martin the maintenance guy say hi to him. He helped me put the spare on my car when my tire went flat on Church Ave about 3 blocks up. In the rain too!!

Through your awesome videography and editing in this video, I think you really sold this place! This looks like an amazing hotel, with impressive balcony views, spacious rooms, and overall awesome amenities...all for a good value that Hampton Inns usually provide. The new Hampton scheme look really nice. The only thing with the scheme that I don't care for is the lack of formal dresser...but that seems like a minor thing. Also, I like the free-play game room, including Xbox! Overall, I think they did a great job with this hotel, even building it on top of the Market.

your tour is impressive. those elevators should also stop at 4. at 4 you can only go up to the hotel. on the way down you can only leave at 4. no travel just between 1 and 4.

I LOVE ELEVATORS

Honestly, I don't plan on coming to the USA anytime soon but if I ever come and come to Roanoke, I think I'd stay here. First I was more thinking about Cambria Suites because (don't laugh at this one !) I think the Kone chimes have a quiet sound that doesn't disturb you after a long day (or after a gig ?)... But actually, this hotel is by far better, I can deal with cashier beep.

It is a nice hotel.

From what I saw, the entrance to the hotel is on street level. For example, what if I parked on the 4th floor and wanted to access the hotel. Would I have to go to the 6th level, walk up a flight of stairs to get to my room? or take the Market Street Dover elevators to street level and access my room from there? Other then the stairs, is there direct access to the hotel from the 6th floor using a elevator? I'm a little confused as to access my room on the 7,8 or 9th floor without walking up a flight of stairs if I'm parked in the garage below. .

unclechrislv the elevators still stop so yeah you have to go down to check in from the garage like any other hotel but ride back up the Dover to get to your room

Most Hampton inns are 3-5 Floors but that one is 9
