I met him and Glenn for a few min back in 1994 after the Hell Freezes Over show here in WV. Glenn had an aunt that lived down the street from me, and he used to visit her for a few weeks every summer when he was a kid. He would go play music with a girl who lived in the same house in which I grew up 🤯

I'm not an Avenged Sevenfold fan, so I wasn't familiar with the song, and I wasn't sure at first if he was playing Hotel California or not, then Sultans of Swing came and I was like, oh that is definitely Sultans. This is phenomenal. I imagine there are others as well that would work.

I guess you could say a good rhythm backer is essential to a good solo

Hotel California and Through the Fire and Flames lyrics fit perfectly over each others music I figured this out after hearing Hotel California every day at work and i would subconscious sing the lyrics to Through the Fire and Flames to the tune of Hotel California. A few years later i found that someone made this a reality and put the vocal track from TTFF over HC. It works so well!
