I’ve watched a ton of gameplay and it looks like it is only so much fun until it just isn’t. The game itself could really use more cars I mean cmon there’s thousands of hot wheels irl and there’s like 20 in the entire game

there are 66 and most are upgradable. I found a way to colect and upgrade ALL the cars and then try them out in races and time trials. The real fun is online, except for the AFK cars littering the racing line, and people are doing incredible things with liveries.

At this point I’ve just stopped buying car games.. I loved them growing up, but when I invite friends over to play and there are like, 6 cars available of the 200, it’s weird. I paid for the game, just let us play, no one at the party wants to waste the time trying to grind and unlock stuff, we just want to enjoy the content we purchased.

I'm kind of confused. Unlocking stuff in games is what people wanted instead of it being paid to unlock. Sure you got to play some campaign to unlock the different cars but its not that bad. People can't expect to have all cars available thr moment they insert the disc. No racing game does. They make you unlock stuff. Nfs, forza, Gran turismo.

Do you go to a deli and pay for a sandwich, but only get the ingredients and the promise that if you make enough sandwiches, they’ll unlock the rest of the menu options? I want the options when I’m with a group. I get there’s a desire to have the content drawn out so people can enjoy it for longer, but that only works when you’re by yourself or want to spent 100 times longer playing the game to unlock the content you want.. When it comes to a couch co-op, especially racing, just give us the cars, no one has time at a party to waste grinding the game, they come for like 2 hours and want to enjoy the best the game has to offer, then go home. Also, fuck paying after you already paid for the game! That doesn’t deserve to be a thing and I will not ever excuse it. We paid for the game, give it to us, no dumb second paywall, or this horrible gambling system they’re all adopting. It’s exploitative.

I'd understand if it takes like a 1000 hours to get all the cars. But no story mode will take max 5 to 6 hours to complete and you'll unlock majority of the cars this way. I've never bought a racing game which had all the cars unlocked. That's like saying hey start a Pokémon game with all Pokémon unlocked. Even in fighting games you'll need to unlock like half the roster. There is no sense of progression if everything was available from the start... idk I guess these type of games aren't for you who want the instant satisfaction of having everything unlocked the moment you touch it. I get that notion but for e developer it won't make sense. If all cars are unlocked at the beginning then what can they reward for beating challenges and stuff. People will complain about progression.

Seems like you are playing easy difficulty, try medium difficulty, its a bit harder and Fun.

It is medium. Geez first thing I do is set it to medium. You didn't see all the cut races where I lose

Dang 31 seconds in and already forced to open loot boxes. I don't know about this game tbh. It looks sick but if that's the vibe they're going for I dunno man

i would honestly prefer the game to have a more "realistic" look, like make the hot wheels cars look like real cars, i would pay good money to see realistic renditions of cars like Rocket Fire, or Solid Muscle, or Winning Formula, and i bet all the acceleracers fanboys would cream their pants if they saw a real life rendtion of cars like Bassline, Spinebuster, Power Rage, Ratified, Chicane
