UPDATE: On October 13th, the devs secretly nerfed the RD-02 without mentioning in the patch notes. So currently it is no longer the fastest car in the game after the nerf. Follow-up video with lap time comparison: kzread.info/dash/bejne/f4Jn09dtcZS9k6Q.html So yeah the Legendary AcceleRacers RD-02 is broken, probably due to an extra 0 somewhere when upgrading it to Legendary like a similar case in GTA Online with the Pariah. Of course this gave the RD-02 ridiculous straight line speed making it the fastest car in the game. While the RD-02 is currently king in normal play. It only has 1 boost making it very hard or impossible to make some shortcuts which required at least 2 or 3 aerial boost. Also I think for lower skill players would find it easier / faster driving with Jesko than to drive with RD-02. It's simply because more boost = more recoveries from mistakes being made especially after a bad corner or crash.

Gelorum was actually talking to the Drone that drives the RD-05 and RD-08 cars. RD-L1 or Racing Drone Lieutenant 1 is the driver of the those cars. The RD-02 is actually driven by the lower ranking drones in Gelorum’s Racing Drone Army. RD-S1 or Scout/Seeker is the driver of the RD-02 car

@@vaulthunterfromterra4053 they are robots after all, so they are programmed to be the best drivers regardless of what rank or class they are, but usually it’s RD-L1 that is in charge of winning the racing realm driver challenges, hence why he always goes through the portal first and shows the Accelcharger to the rest of the Drone Army and Gelorum. RD-L1 also seems to possess a sort of free will ability which allows him to control his actions free from the Hive Mind of the other drone classes, unless ordered otherwise by Gelorum.

Allow me to make a bold prediction about how the meta of this game will develop, based on what I've observed. As we learn more about the game and more custom tracks are made, I suspect the meta for high-level play will shift away from cars like the Jesko and RD-02 towards cars with a higher number of boost slots or a boost bar. I'm thinking this because _boosting actually affects your momentum in the air_ based on the direction your car is facing, which in practice can be used to fly for a short amount of time. With this knowledge, I made a simple formula: *More boost = more mobility in the air = more shortcut potential.* This has already led to some pretty sick shortcuts, and in the future we may find shortcuts that _require_ a certain amount of boost that some cars won't be able to have. Take, for instance, that insane shortcut you posted on this channel the other day. You used 3 boost slots for that, so it might be very difficult to pull off consistently in a Jesko and it might be straight-up impossible in this fully upgraded RD-02. While these cars are great at driving normally, the viability of shortcuts could beat them in high-level play. TL;DR This game could potentially see _Rocket League_ levels of aerial stunts if the competitive scene continues to thrive.

Totally agree. For normal play, RD-02 is currently king. But not when u up against some sicko who knows how to pull most the shortcut routes lol. It's just the matter of time that would happen.

Maybe some Acceleracers racing realms will be perfect for playing this car, i can imagine if they added the racing realms it will be a whole new experience

@@Si1verSummer would be the perfect game to try regression analysis on players on. If too many people win with a certain car, say more than 1/3 of online races are won with this car, said car gets a nerf in its strongest stat by a certain percentage. If a car is barely used then it can get a buff in its weakest stat. Over time every car would be in a workable range where cars are still unique but their individual strengths don’t dwarf the competition.

Hard agree. They'll have to adjust the grip & cornering properly (alot of bumping in multiplayer), other than that, it's a hard agree for me.

I really hope they bring out the RD-09 (Gelorum’s Car) as well as Spinebuster, Chicane, Hollowback, and Power Rage. All the Acceleracers cars pretty much I love this game and they Need to be in here.

That ending on hotwheels acceleracers when a member of the silencerz takes off his helmet revealing himself as vert's father and the last words I hear are Vert's father: Son, we need to talk. Vert: Dad?

With the release of this game, all the AcceleRacers movies flooded back into my memory. Now my KZread rec is a consistent feed of Hot Wheels content and it puts a huge smile on my face, I feel like a kid again. I hope more AcceleRacers/World Race content is added to this game!

I hope they add Nerve Hammer, 24/seven, Zotic, Asphalt Assault in the next update/DLC

There's a *very* specific version of the Nerve Hammer I wanna see, actually. I had it myself, though it's damaged now. Remember those elemental sets? There was that stock car that was an air elemental, and the Nerve Hammer was the fire elemental.

RD-02 is the fastest until the drop the other Acceleracer cars, Reverb and Synkro are gonna destroy everything lol

The boost mechanic on reverb should be a single boost wheel with a slow recharge, but when full and active it does the blue Nitrox Afterburner Glow and tire fire!

Fun fact:theres actually a micro realm in the acceleracers.

Ikr, the stats don't look great but I just broke 2 of my records with it. That hydrogen turbine engine is really something. Hope RD-06 comes and it's as fast or even faster. Then I can finally have another car I have in real life in the game. Currently only 24 Ours.

Love this game. I have the switch version. Runs good. Biggest complaint is there are times when the darks are really dark and the brights blind the whole front of view.

I might have to buy the game if they get an accelleracers dlc, like going through the tracks from the movies would be so sick and all the cars from that series where awesome.

@@brawler715 there’s more than one car that have one boost at legendary rarity. but non of them are as fast as the RD-02. if the one boost and high speed are an archetype, the other cars should also reach those speeds

Anyone I handpicked to be villains (Vin Diesel, Charlize Theron, John Cena and Dwayne Johnson from Fast And Furious 8 - 10, Michael Bay, Kelsey Grammer and Patrick Dempsey from Transformers, Rochelle, Drew, Tonya, Vivian Morello, and Joey Caruso from Everybody Hates Chris, Terry Filkins from Drillbit Taylor & many more) in Hot Wheels Unleashed are forced to use the RD-02 car from AcceleRacers as payback for killing everyone's childhoods and wrecking lives of others for way too long. If they're complaining about the "forced" choice of car because of its status as a villain car from AcceleRacers, then they're probably not looking at it performance-wise and basically becoming more and more like the villainous Racing Drones.

The RD-02's fast and nimble like it was in the AcceleRacers movies, which I like. But there's one thing that bothers me a bit. Why is the sound of the car like a normal engine? All drone cars were supposed to be powered by turbine engines, as evidenced by the specs and sounds that are used and shown n the movies.
