Hot Wheels Elite Edition Back To The Future DeLorean Review

This is one of the most detailed and beautiful replicas of the DeLorean I've ever seen. Especially in this scale.

    My apologies. The current pricing of this is now between $150-$200. I must have been looking at a different model.

    Thanks for this video Outsider238. I’ve been looking at BTTF DeLoreans recently, and I’d already decided on this exact version before seeing your video. Now I’ve seen your video I’ve ordered one today, and if it comes without the writing on one tyre I’ll be doing the following. Scan one tyre which does have the writing, photoshop the background black, print it onto clear background waterslide transfer paper, put it on the tyre 😊 Thanks again, it’s a great car 👍🏼

    Oh that tire! I can't believe I never noticed it. Another viewer mentioned that as well. It turns out that tire was put on backwards. Thankfully I was able to take it off that rim and flip it over the right way! So if yours has that same issue, you can just flip it the right way. I'm glad you were able to get one of these! It really is one of the best DeLorean replicas out there.

    @@outsider238 I hadn't noticed the tyre whilst watching your video, I only saw it after reading about it in the comments. People are very quick to point out anything negative, but I'll be following your advice regarding the other side of the tyre 👍🏼 I've also just ordered some dolls house bananas and a dolls house can of Budweiser for Mr Fusion, and a resin 1/18 scale Marty and Doc 😂

    Great Review, I'm interested to get one, the issue here is how do we spot the original one from the clone made in china ? does the original Elite version from hot wheels comes with light function or its just the ultimate / deluxe edition who does that ? really confused ....

  • @outsider238

    It's only the deluxe edition that has the lights. I didn't know there was a Chinese knock off version. I guess you'll have to make sure it's an official Hot Wheels brand. The original came out quite some time ago.

    I have this same exact model and I love it❗️❤️ I must say, however, what happened to the “Goodyear Eagle” writing on your driver’s side rear tire❓❓Did they forget to print it on yours or something❓how bizzare. Mine has the Goodyear Eagle writing on ALL FOUR TIRES as it SHOULD but I couldn’t help but notice that yours is missing on that one tire. That would drive me NuTs❗️😣

    I only know of two screen used cars in existence that still run. Original "A" car was restored after rotting at Universal and is displayed at the Petersen Museum in Los Angeles. And one of the two desert cars was restored and owned by a private owner.

    The screen used “A” car that was at Universal and people were stealing parts off of us at Petersen Auto Museum, it is on loan and not on Universal property. The couplers near the front are not blue. They’re grey. So Hot Wheels got that wrong. The wires on the sides and interior of the car are not just red and black. They’re red, black, yellow, and purple. The flux bands on this model are too big. All in all, this model is great. But not “perfect.” Sorry 😞

  • @outsider238

    @outsider238

    Very interesting. It would be difficult for them to get everything exactly correct. Especially since there was more than one car used. They did a pretty good job overall though.

  • @themodelcitizen988

    @themodelcitizen988

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@outsider238 yeah I hear you. I personally demand perfection. I think $100+ is getting to some pretty serious territory, and they should really get it perfect. If you look at pics of the Super Elite, which is the one with the swappable wheels, etc, they got the couplers right (they are grey instead of blue), but the wiring along the interior and the fenders is STILL not black, yellow, purple, and red.....for over $500, that time machine should DEFINITELY be perfect. It just gives me an impression that they don’t do their research fully. All you have to do is look at the A car (I’ve seen it in person more than once). Or just get pics of the A car. And go off of that. But they either don’t, or they just don’t care to put all the details in there because they think we won’t notice. That’s crappy that they do that.

  • @outsider238

    @outsider238

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@themodelcitizen988 Yes, that $500 one should be perfect! I think I found out about the more expensive one after I had already bought this one so I never got it. I think some of these companies that make these "high end" collectibles have been getting sloppy and cheap over the years. There's only a couple companies that seem to really try to make excellent quality stuff on a consistent basis. Although I know nothing's perfect, especially since the actual props aren't perfect themselves, we at least expect something that looks as close to the original as possible.
