Have you considered, like many model makers do -- redoing the PAINT? Weathering it, etc. Now THAT would be ever so coooool! D.A.

Fantastic review as always Richard!! I have to agree about the colour but to be honest the rest of the Batmobile makes up for that with the insane level of detail! Especially when compared with the rear of the Jada! No comparison.....I was hoping you’d do a comparison with the 1:18 ‘89 Batmobile and smiled when you showed them together. I do love the BvS Batmobile but every time I see the ‘89 I’m taken right back to being a kid again, Hands down it’ll always be the version I gravitate towards. Overall I think Hot Wheels did an admirable job inside and out. A definite worthy addition to any Batmobile collection and I’m glad I got to see it in such detail. STEWART!! Hey! Thanks for the kind words. Yeah, I was surprised at the color when I opened the box - especially since the image on the box is so much closer to what we saw in the movie. Still, a great model and, something I probably didn't emphasize enough in the video, the construction is incredibly solid. You don't get the sense that the wheels will ever wobble or the canopy might break if you accidentally open it too far. Not a home run but definitely a strong release from Hot Wheels. I know what you mean about the '89. I've grown to really like the BvS but there are few Batmobiles that come close to that classic Furst/Burton/Keaton car!! I was hyped for this. But the colour is tottaly wrong! I'm shocked they would go through the painstaking detail if creating this but fail at the most simple aspect. The colour!?

I could not agree more. I know I mentioned it in the video but the color on their 1:50 scale was wrong and this one is even more obvious. It's a shame because everything else is so awesome. I love the detail on the outside of the body but it just looks too clean. Thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a comment. Take it easy!

Hello from Russia! For a long time this model waited. Before that I bought models of a different scale from the Hot Wheels and Jade Toys. This model is gorgeous in detail, but the color ... I'm sure that after a while there will be a model in the scale of 1/18 of the Batmobile from the Justice League. Especially since Jada's toy will be released very soon on a scale of 1/24. I wait and I save money! Thanks for the interesting review!

In my opinion the Air Hogs RC BvS Batmobile is the best one. It’s about the size of the 1:18 hot wheels one and the paint looks more accurate. Plus it’s way cheaper than the Elite one. You should look for it.

Hey! It's funny that you mention the RC BvS Batmobile. I'm currently eyeballing an auction on eBay for it and the Batwing from the movie. I normally don't get RC models but, after seeing several reviews, I do think it looks really good. The sculpt is not as precise as this Hot Wheels but, you're right, the colors and some of the "battle damage" paint app are definitely closer to what we see in the movie. Overall, I think it looks great. I agree the color is off but it still looks good. I guess I am a little disappointed at the instrument cluster and the cockpit. One should expect more from a Elite edition from Hot Wheels especially at the price they are asking for them. Again overall not a bad example of the BVS Batmobile.

I thought the same thing about the cockpit. I probably should have said more about it in the video. The actual cockpit in this Batmobile is incredibly detailed and has a lot of color. They could have done a bit more with the inside of the model. With some of the other 1:18 Hot Wheels Batmobiles, the standard version is more movie accurate in terms of color. Maybe we'll get a non-Elite version someday (but I'm not holding my breath). Thanks for watching! Take it easy.

Elite really fell off with this one. They had issues making Ultimate versions of their models with electronics with manufacturing licenses, etc. I can understand that. The paint is a problem. The cockpit is just lazy. They didn't care about this one.

Did they update the colour of the batmobile for current release? I notice some review and image their bvs batmobile is darker.

You could work on a repaint, i have 3 jada batmobiles and just completed my matte black paint, 1 24 scale. Will upload a vid soon. Great vid!

Do u have any plans collecting the new die cast releases of DC metals die caast batmobiles? If you do please review it that would be great.. jada also relesed their own line of die cast batmobiles but only 4 batmobiles on their collection hut DC metals die cast has 6 including the arkham knight mobile and the batmobile that val kilmer used that looks like a skeletal frame..

I've seen a "matte" version of this as well. Are the differences noticeable and which is more movie accurate?

Man, Jada just published on their web site the 1:32 scale Arkham Knight & Batman Forever Batmobiles... I'm sooo hapyy!!! Hopefully they finally release on next months the Arkham Asylum batmobile!!!

I've read so many reviews on this batmobile on various sites , is it true this hotwheels justice league batmobile smaller than the other hotwheels 1:18 scale batmobile ? Please reply me, I'm damn interested in this batmobile.

Having come across this video 5 years after it was posted, these models just look silly compared to Jazz inc's lol. But for 100x the quality of the Hot wheels, you do pay like 4 times the price.

I have occasionally considered getting a model from Jazz Inc. They’ve definitely exploded in popularity in recent years but, as you mentioned, there’s an obvious difference in price. Plus, their models tend to scale a bit larger than the average release which allows for much greater detail. Maybe one day I’ll break down and try to get one.

Hi, Hotweels release their first 1/64 scale Animated Series Batmobile casting!!!

How does it fare against the moebius model? Just got that one and this one releases 😓

this car is great detail even the paint is good despite what people say about the color. I waited forever for one of these I bought two so I was sure to have something as soon as it came out. But it is not a true 1/18 scale it's about 4 inches too short, and if anybody noticed the back tires are way too small.

I thought about that but, for the price, you really shouldn't have to do that. They run anywhere between $100 and $150.

Arkham89 they are pretty close to getting all the details of the car accurate you'd think the colour would be the easiest to get right , how did they screw that up??

Do you know that Spin Master made a 1:18 scale Ben Affleck Batman figure that you can use for this Batmobile???

I love that car but the color kill that.

Hoping you can point me in the right direction concerning the turntable you are using. I don't hear any noise coming from it while moving and I cannot tell you how many i've run across that were just plain ole wonkie. Thanks for your time

Chris Martin Hey! Sorry for taking so long to reply. I’m afraid I no longer have the box for the turntable that I use so I don’t have any info on it (there isn’t even a brand name on the table itself). However, mine actually does make noise when it is activated. It drives me nuts! That’s why I turn the sound down on that segment of my videos and record my comments over it. Sorry. That’s probably not the info you wanted. If you do find a turntable that is relatively silent, I would like to know which one it is. Good luck! I wish I could have been more help. Buy Tamiya colour and paint it dark grey, perfect!

It's curious how they got the colour so wrong. The vehicle should be a sort of dark, semi-matt gunmetal, but they went for gloss grey? If they were having trouble getting the tone right, matt black would have worked just fine.

i love it, the only prob is the paint makes it looks like plastic..wish they do the paont job accurately even without the battle marks

That's true. I didn't stop to think about that. When you have it in hand, it's very heavy so you notice that it is primarily die cast metal but the color does give it the impression that it is made from a different material. I wonder if they will release a "standard" version with a different paint scheme. Thanks for watching!

Good review. Im abit disapointed with this hotwheels elite version. The die cast isnt sharp. This car has sharp edges. The edges are what make the real car look cool. The diescast detail is too low. and plastic parts used in key areas!

She's a beau I'll take fifty of them.

Nice model but with the main colour off i don't think i would be prepared to pay £158 for this elite version. I wouldn't put it passed hotwheels to release it in the correct colour just to make more money from one tooling.

Keyarey Lindsey Unfortunately, no. I’ve tried a few similar sized figures and the section below the seat was always too narrow.

I'd probably like this version of the Batmobile more if the movie was any good. Still, a nice model and an excellent review! Have you seen the 1:50 Justice League version with the cannon? There are 2 Wal-Mart stores in my area that are flooded with them. Even though I'm only luke warm on this version, it's hard to pass up those HW 1:50 scale cars for $8. Thanks!

I'm not a fan of the DCCU ever since BvS came out. The only thing in the movie that was accurate to the DC Universe, in my opinion, was the look of Batman's world (I'm still not convinced that Batman was actually in the movie, lol) and it all started with the design of this Batmobile. It's been one of my favorites now for a long time. I do have that 1:50 scale. There are a couple of them warming the pegs at my local Target. I'm not crazy about the design with all the extra weapons but I'd still like to get the smaller 1:64 special edition. Actually, my favorite version of this Batmobile was in the nauseating Suicide Squad movie. I'd love to get a version of this with the guns retracted. Arkham89 The BVS Batmobile isn't one of my favorites but I do like it. It's a good mix of aggressive like the Tumbler and the Arkham Knight versions and aerodynamic and sleek like more traditional Batmobiles.

Hot Wheels: Superior. Jada Metals: Inferior (Don't take it seriously, it's a meme from TFP) Question tho: are there any aftermarket upgrade kits or third party ones to convert it to Justice League Ver.?

How much did you pay for it?

When i saw this I. The store I was hyped but when I bought it I was disappointed 😔 it caust $50

Elite batmobiles get worse every time. The scale is off. Its not a true 1 18 scale model its just the same size as the others. The Arkham and this are closer to 1 24 scale considering the specs of the actual vehicles and that car looks brownish grey. Very informative though. But since its only slighty bigger than 1 24 and the wrong color HW loses my money. Ecto 1 is their last good movie car.

Sorry, the color kills the entire car. How such a blatant oversight can be made by Hotwheels Elite of all companies is beyond me. This would be on display. Having the suspension and wiring detail is of course cool, but the color cancels it out. This does not look like the car in the movie and I'm not buying it. I'm actually glad because now I don't have to spend over $100 for an inaccurate model. Maybe they didn't like the film? But in that case, why even bother?

Horrible movie and the car isn't that great looking. Makes George Clooneys batman look heaps better
