This figure is CRAZY but phenomenal. Hot Toys seems to nail it when they release wacky figures like this one. Shows the passion and creativity the sculptors have to recreate these designs in 1/6 form.

I really like the crab legs, what I don't like about this figure is the absolute asymmetry, I wish it was like 70% symmetrical and 30% asymmetrical and added the second set of legs as well

Originally I thought this was an automatic buy but now I think this would’ve worked better in a Statue format. The story telling is limited because venom is still in the process of taking over the suit and thus for me making the articulation pointless. That’s just me though and despite how I feel I might still get him.

Ever since this figure was announced a couple years ago I've thought those legs didn't quite fit the figure. I'm not a big fan of the Venomized line anyway but those legs... It really is too bad that they can't be easily be eliminated. They just as easily have been a switch out option. Glad you like it but it's something I'll be buying. Thanks Justin

Totally agree

If they had placed a similar set-up to his back, with the black and white classic venom symbol, this would be an easy buy for me. However, I can't get past the "Crab Leggs" no matter how much I try. They really are what turns me off to the figure. The Tom Hardy Venom head sculpt on this was awesome. It definitely took the figure up a notch. Thanks for the review.

Spider legs are dope IMO it’s different and not as off putting as most people are saying (meme culture) . This is going to be one of those gems that people will miss out on just because of popular opinion. One offs are the stand outs gems of a collection other then that everyone will have the same figures which makes this a instant buy for me

That’s definitely the Mark 7 iron man suit. And the rest of the figure,absolutely crazy!Those crabs legs,even though they bother me,they do look ok at the least.The Symbiote could maybe be the reason why the suit is a more satin finish,hmmm.

Justin I’m really torn on this one I was really excited when it was first announced & been looking out for it ever since. I think the concept of it is just great I really like it but those spider legs on the chest I’m just back & fourth with but at least they can be moved. I think this would’ve been spot on if the version of venom was the one from the film but I guess this is based on the comics. Great review I think you’ve sold me on this one though.

The 4th leg is a different colour as it’s a transition to Venom. Much like he’s not Venoms full height etc. It’s just showing transition - I think it’s a great concept

Fortunately I don’t hop on the bandwagon, I dig the protruding spider legs. Why is the fourth crab legs fixed? Probably because it’s designed to look like it’s in the process of emerging out of the symbiote? The entire figure is in the midst of formation. Anyhow, this thing is vile, nasty and horrid and I love it. Nice review. Thanks!

Idk if you have any connections with hot toys manufacturing but I think we'd all love to see dreamworks small soldiers archer the gorgonite and chip hazard commando elite be made by this company think you could get a word in? With they're original packaging also like in the film or at least on the cover to imitate it.. 😃 😊
