I think the DC-17m blaster can be disassembled, like in the game--the intent is for it be modular for specific uses. Saw another reviewer do it.

This is literally a Hasbro moment. An animated style Hunter repaint with a realistic battlefront 2 commando helmet. It is inaccurate to the animated design, becouse it still has Hunters unique modifications, being more skinny than a regular commando, and it has a realistic helmet. And it is inaccurate to the Realistic design, as exept the helmet it has the animated style body proportions (not to mention it has Hunters skinny proportions, wich are absolutely inaccurate to the regular commandos). The only difference between this figure and Hasbros is the pricetag. For this price, it should be at least be an accurate depiction of a commando armor. Now even if they will ever do Delta Squad, or at least Scorch, they would definetely all have these half animated, half realistic, Hunter proportions, meanwhile if they made an actual realistic commando based on the battlefront 2 model, they could repaint it multiple time and it would sell well and would be accurate.

The Republic Commando doesn't seem too bad. The light up feature could be better, hopefully just the batteries since on the Sideshow First Look, it looked a lot brighter in the light. They did a decent job giving a thermal detonator charge to simulate door breach manuever plus a full thermal det. The backpack compartment is decent, considering that they made the space deep. The DC-17m blaster doesn't seem too bad, but it would've been nice if they made the ammo clip removable. The katarn armor is the biggest fail of this figure. Sideshow first look, they said "oh Hot Toys used the fan favorite silhouette." No, the armor is supposed to be beefier really. The other biggest fail is making this limited exclusive. This is an army/squad builder. Other than that it's a buy. Nice review as always showing off the articulation.

Getting Obi went smooth for me, but the commando started of great and got sideways quick. All worked out in the end.

@@Pin-Din7 @punctureboy_8525 Obi went so south for me it was Mexico haha and I wasn’t able to get him and commando glitched the frick out but I got lucky and eventually after like 30 attempts it worked and I got him

@RisingKnight64 yeah I had to use like one of the umpteenth emails they sent me cause when it was my turn it wanted to do the "there's an error for the page" crap and I was like "so are you saying I lost my spot?" Lol "so far south it was Mexico." Sorry to hear Mandalorian Kenobi ended that way. I'm fine with my Clone Wars version on order. All in all for these exclusive releases their IT process needs to get alot better since Hot Toys is clearly taking this route for whether they are grunt figures or special outfits. So Sideshow needs to step it up since they are the official US distributor to get an opportunity to buy these things at retail price.

Sideshow really needs to beef up their site/sever when it comes to exclusive drops like this. For 0-0-0 I was in line at 127 and as the time counted down I was the 300 then 700 the 1500 and eventually I was 5,000 + then in a matter of minutes I was in and it told me I can join waitlist. I was in line 30 minutes before lol I do appreciate you can only buy one per phone and address. Makes it harder for scalpers

I'd say it'd be great to get a delta squad but I wouldn't trust them to not use this crappy half realistic half cartoonish armor.

I get people's complaints. I noticed them right away myself...However, I still ordered it, which makes me part of the problem, I guess 😬 But I've wanted Commandos in my collection for a while and these will have to do. I can get past my issues with them.

This is the worst figure hot toys/sideshow has made to date. A spit in the face to clone commando fans who have waited almost 20 years for a proper figure, this figure is ridiculous

Love how this review has no idea the figure is totally inaccurate, do your research
