Him sliding down like that is pretty true to real life. I’m the same height as Christopher Lloyd and the first time I ever sat in a Delorean, I hit my head with the top of the door. It’s incredible short in the headroom category.

John DeLorean himself was 6 ft 4 and able to sit in it fine that's why it had the indention in the headliner portion of the door.

@@exptodd the owner of the one I sat in was about that height, maybe even taller and while he said he was able to get in it and drive it, I wouldn’t say he fit in it “just fine”. It’s 80’s super car size and takes some finagling to sit in.

I never thought Hot Toys would ever release this, goes to show you should never give up hope. They absolutely nailed this, can’t wait to get it. The only change I would have made would be to give us a mirrored base so you see the details and LEDs underneath a bit easier. Great review.

I’ve been waiting since pre-ordering in March ‘22. Could you perhaps measure the DeLorean in hover-mode (on the stand) with both gullwing-doors completely open? Doesn’t have to be very precise, I just want to make an initial estimate of the size of the acrylic dust cover I’m planning to have made. 😊

If you could find a suitable rope with coloured flags on it, like the one doc dangles from the car to get Marty away from Biff, that would be one hell of a display to have doc dangling the rope down to Marty on perhaps a lower shelf level! It almost looks as if it's meant to be displayed like that considering the cars angle.

The attention to detail is amazing I love how they made it to convert. I love the underbody lights the interior lights are amazing. The only thing I had close to this was the toy that was sold at universal studios theme park. Love the review Justin awesome as always and new intro is cool.

Great video! I love the stand making the car angled. It’s a great look! Not being interested in collecting anything other than Super Hero collectibles. Seeing this was still awesome to watch. I am a huge fan of Back to the Future. It was such a fun Franchise to watch. It brings back memories and I still watch it every year. I own all of the movies! I have to say the car looks fantastic! If I did collect something like this I would definitely want this car! It actually makes me wonder. I am a even bigger fan of the James Bond movies. I own all of them as well. It makes me wonder if someone has done the James Bond Car Submarine. That would be a cool car to have as a collectible! You always seem to be able to grab the good stuff! I love watching this channel!

This model is absolutely beautiful. It's way too big for me and I'd buy a half scale version in a heartbeat but I understand why they made it this big. This scale allows for this insane amount of detail.

You are correct, original DeLoreans have halogen bulbs which would definitely give them the yellow hue. One thing to point out though, the comment about the DeLorean being heavy is factually incorrect. I own one, and the car is actually very light for its era. The underbody is fiberglass and the stainless panels are thin and simply bolted on. It wasn't the weight that made it "slow", but the fact that it only has around 130 HP. HOWEVER, having said that, I find that most people who talk about them being slow has never driven one. Mine is a manual 5 speed and it has some spunk to it. Fast car? Nah.... but that's not why people own them. They're a damn cool car. Great review!

It is curious the picture of the car on top of the box show the prototype version, where the tires are way too far. Hot toys corrected that in the final product but it seems they forgot to update the picture in the box....

Just preordered mine and a good thing as the company that makes the 1:8 build went out of business and I was about 16 issues in to it. This will be way cheaper in the end. I can’t seem to find the correct doc and Marty for this car in the US. Are they available where you are currently or are they ones you got in the past?

Personally, I wish the time circuits had Oct 21 2015 4:29 PM on them since this is the DeLorean from then future. The time circuits it has do however match up with the end of Part II where it gets struck by lighting sending it back to 1885.

This does. Most do not as in Hong Kong they aren't shipped they are picked up from the store then sent to you

I think it would be awesome if someone released a RC drone with a BTTF II DeLorean body wrapped around it with each of the wheels being the props. Edit: I know there are some DIY versions that people have created, but I mean one that is on par with how accurate this model is.
