I only managed to get the left glove on. Right is just sorta hanging, not going to mess with it more. Looks a little off but I'm not risking ripping the pleather.

I had mine for a bit now and I love it. Opted for the clean version because it’s my one and only Vader. It’s like an improved rogue one version which I always wanted. Love the review, thanks for sharing!

Great review G! Still waiting for mine from my local shop. Seeing your Tarkin-Vader in your display, I'm glad I ordered parted-out extra bases. I ordered extra hands/pegs too in case I have to mod them to solve the problem you're having.

Great video, Graeme. The nice thing about that base is it doesn't have one of those damn nameplates, so, as you noted, it can be used with other figures. It's probably not screen accurate, but the damaged chest panel looks good lit up. I got my figure last week, but have been too tired from work to do anything but look at it in the box. I almost got two of them, so I could display him in both versions.

Awesome video! Got my Kenobi Vader next to me here still in the box waiting for CCFL sabers from Chris :D On that note... I must ask how often u light up the CCFL sabers? Like is it only for video purposes or do u keep em on for a longer time?

Thanks for watching! Great question regarding the sabers. I don’t always turn them on with my display lights, but here and there I like to enjoy them. I usually won’t leave them on more than 2 hours at a time.

I know those USB power light sabers were a starter up for hot toys to do and I do appreciate it I'm sure everyone can agree it's a lot better than pulling off the arm and hope that it doesn't break when you're touching the light up lightsaber but when you look at the custom lightsabers and how bright they are you have to ask yourself why didn't hot toys go that route hopefully that is something that they can improve on when it comes to a brighter light in those lightsabers with USB

It’s def a good step forward getting rid of the battery arm, but I feel hot toys has a long way to go yet regarding making the lightsabers more functional and looking more realistic.

As much as I like Star Wars that had 0 and ever owning a Darth Vader I have seen different ones from Sideshow and had no interest but when they brought out this one I had to end up changing my mind I am so glad I met the 4th my weightless converted for this deluxe version can't wait to have him in my collection and combine him with the shadow Troopers Emperor Palpatine

Best yet, but the cape isn't great. Think once you add jaxons one (drape or wired - your preference) it makes it a 10 easily. Looking forward to return of the jedi vader. Nice review.

For the longest time I thought about getting the 1/4 Vader because of that amazing Anakin headsculpt. But at the same time I kept wondering “that’s not the iconic visual for Vader” (a “problem” we have with Batman, Iron Man, Spider man… but with Vader it’s more drastic). So, when I saw this release, I realized it was the answer: helmet and Anakin head at the same time! 😃 I also have the Vader from the 2-pack Tarkin, and probably gonna use the light up base, just like you did, but I think I’m gonna use the new clean headsculpt on it 😁 Btw: the wired cape is phenomenal. I got one with Jaxon for my Bale Batman. Thinking about picking one for my Vader too. Great review as always, man! Cheers!
