I absolutely love how you have them displayed. Multiple figures in each section, and nicely posed. It looks so dull when I see 6 detolfs and one figure per section. Your setup looks great! Full, and has so much character. Looks fabulous!

Always been intrigued on your collection, I think you’ve worked well with what you have. Whether you’re looking to shift some or not, I found it super helpful to put all my figures in a list of favourite to least favourite, really put things into perspective for me !

@@optical20 yeah I regularly name all of them on an excel spreadsheet and will usually set a goal of getting rid of 10 of them (depending on the the selection I’ll do less than 10) but it’s really helped me get rid of those characters I wanted to complete a set rather than because I actually liked the figure!

And I thought my Star Wars detolfs with 2-3 figures are crowded. With 4 figures the way you posing them you definitely need risers for the last row

(So sorry this is a wall of text but it's your fault for making such an interesting video!) What a comprehensive collection of Asmus Lord of the Rings figures! It was a pleasure to see them all displayed side by side there. A couple of them I didn't even know had been made. May have to see if I can track a Samwise down as a gift for my American friend who is a LotR superfan. 2:57 Optical re Marvel figures "I kinda chose to stick to Infinity War/Endgame" That is very interesting. Do you, as a collector, feel accurate sets are more desirable than a collection of your favourite versions of a character? Or than a full catalogue of each version of a character released? Budget tends to be the deciding factor for my own personal collecting. I can't afford multiple versions of a figure, so I have to reconcile myself with just getting the version of a character that I like the most. For example, I'll always love the Keaton Batman, Bale batman for the iconic trilogy, and the Affleck batman for being such a beast, but I can only afford one and for me that means it has to be the inart Patterson batman because I like his costume the most of them all. The others are super special and great too, but truthfully money has to be a factor. And so, while I dearly wish I could build a shelf for the Snyder Justice League accurately, I will be aiming for a CW Grant Gustin Flash to go with them as he embodies the character better for me than the movie version. And Anne Hathaway's catwoman won't be paired with Bale's batman, she'll be with Patterson. Optical re figures in a detolf "Ideally for aesthetic-wise you only want to put 2 maybe 3 per shelf." I agree with you about that, and even more so now that Ikea have stopped making Detolfs and are replacing them with the narrower Blalidens, which can barely fit 2 figures in them and the glass for the shelves is much thinner, so weaker. Not a problem for the normal figures, but 3 diecast ones would concern me. 04:30 You open up the Dark Knight shelf. As I mentioned, I am restricing myself to my favourite version of characters, and Bale to me is the best Bruce Wayne and Micheal Caine was my favourite Alfred. I have no illusions about ever being able to get this set but it does make my heart glad to see that you have it. And speaking of making my heart glad, you have Anne Hathaway's catwoman. She was my second grail figure. As soon as I'd got the figure that inspired me to start collecting sixth scale figures I simply had to preorder the rerelease version of Catwoman. And then buy a batpod to display her with. And you continue to speak directly to my passion and soul by panning down to Harley. On my "to get" list of figures she is in number two spot behind Inart's Ledger joker. Think you are one of the few collectors I've seen that put the accessories on display at the feet of the figure. You explain why, so they are on hand for when you want to do a photoshoot, and that seems very practical. It's nice to see all the items they come with. The DamToys Godfather figure is super good. He's a great sculpt, has a shelf presence few figures have, and comes with some utterly incredible accessories. I've seen a collector use those accessories for Bale's Bruce Wayne and Alfred and it works amazingly well. 09:30 Oh wow, your Studio/office closet is jawdropping! So much perfectly packed into such a small space. Bravo. 12:19 I simply have to ask about the lit up poster frames. Did the posters come like that, or did you buy the frames seperately and assemble them yourself? I absolutely adore how you've colour coded them, with that beautiful blue for Superman Trinity and the red to match The Batman. Would love to buy both of those if you can remember where you got them from. So you do have the full Snyderverse screen-accurate Justice League. That is phenomenal. Imagine it's taken you years to assemble (waiting for cyborg, etc) but oh man has it paid off and they look utterly awesome lined up like that. Full respect and props to you. 13:37 As I've mentioned, lack of money has forced me to guide my collection down certain paths. I had to choose between DC and Marvel, despite loving them both wholeheartedly. One of the toughest advocates trying to convince me to go down the marvel route was that Jon Bernthal Punisher. I think it is exceptional. For me, he's the definitive punisher, a role he was born to play. I'll always fondly wish I had that figure. Makes me pleased to know that you do. And Star Wars shelves too. Have to say Optical, one of several things I really admire about you is your willingness/ability to branch out and collect various lines or even just random figures that you love. When a collector shows the figures they have chosen to collect I find it a very personal glimpse into the person they are, the passions they hold and what different I.P.s mean to them. The more the collector chats about each figure, why they got it, what it means to them, or some story that comes along with their getting it, the better. It is such a fascinating glimpse into the person they are and the passion that they rarely get to share in person with others. Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video and to share your genuinely fabulous collection with us. Much appreciated.
