Hot tent camping baking in wood stove

We go camping in our hot tent and bake dessert in our wood stove. We test out some new camping gear and cook dinner from scratch while enjoying the scenes and sounds of nature. This camping experience left us feeling happy and recharged.

    It's the best part. We'd probably just view everything from the truck if we didn't have the promise of food.

    Haha I bet! We're in the western US so if it's summer we're sleeping up in the mountains to stay cool.

    How many days in a year do you guys sleep in the outdoors bro.? I'm sure it's a lot less stressful just being out in nature but obviously it's nice to enjoy modern day life.

    It varies, mainly because of work, and we're doing it more often now that we have this channel. Last year was probably 30 nights. This year we plan to do a lot more than that.

    You both look like you are having too much fun. Watching Aaron eat the stew is like watching our cat being fed by my wife. He is a cave cat. I was watching THE CAMPING 🏕 CANUCK and he was evaluating a sleeping bag that uses AEROGEL as insulation. One millimeter of aerogel is rated to -40 C. The sleeping bag weighs less than one kilogram. Have you ever tried this type of sleep system?

    No, we've never heard of it but I would be interested to know how well it works. Does it breathe or is it like a really thick vapor barrier?

    what kind of stove is that?

    It says "nurgaz" on it. We bought it on etsy and had it shipped from Turkey. We like it a lot but the chimney could be a little nicer. It's big and thick enough that it puts out a lot of heat and small enough that it's not a burden to transport like our cylinder stove.

    Why don't you guys buy fake wood since you are only there for a short time instead of cutting down real trees.

  • @2withnature

    @2withnature

    Жыл бұрын

    Whenever we cut down trees they're already dead and burning them removes a potential fire hazard and when they're burned it returns their minerals to the soil to fertilize it, so it's not harmful to the area. Plus buying wood already cut or duralogs for each camping trip would add up in cost pretty fast, they've gone up in cost significantly in the last 2 or 3 years.
