When My estranged husband and I ended up in court as a result of the actions of himself and his family. Examples no longer watch our child, her father refused to financially support her, then went behind my back as the tenant on the lease told the landlord we had moved out(he had moved out prior) and when the landlord found out two months later that we were still there he not only tried to serve me with eviction but also get back money that I didn't even know was owed on our apartment. The money I received for maternity leave I gave to him for the rent and bills and he did not pay our bills which equals less than $1,000 a month 8 years ago. FACT TO BE UNDERSTOOD MY DAUGHTER 4 months and I had to go back to work as soon a she was a 2 months old. He made it Known he doubted the paternity of our child in court and did not believe she was his but refused a paternity test when asked if he wanted one. Now add to this 8 years later that to their child support set up own court hearings and regards to him not paying child support.(I never went for an increase or anything) because every phone number and address that they have had on him over the last eight years is disconnected and the mail always gets returned and when they look up his social they can't find a job under his social. There are men who absolutely know that the child is theirs. Further distance themselves from the responsibility and disparage the mother as promiscuous. It's a tactic to explain their presence of being an absentee parent. Third the biggest issue is that this will be a waste of resources because oftentimes the parent who doubts paternity or does not want to have any of the responsibility will not show up and that's money and time that cannot be recouped on the part of the custodial parent and child. Especially if their job doesn't offer PTO, floating holidays

Agreed! If only mom is at hospital, she should be asked if she wants to pursue DNA test. Her response should be in writing. If she says yes, than grant back pay. If she says no, like this woman seemed to have done, than bi back pay. There should also be a statute of limitations on how far back the back pay can go. If man is there and denies, and it comes back later to be his, back pay. There shouldn't be any of this nor men signing a birth certificate making them financially liable and finding out later it wasn't their child and still being forced to pay child support.

You think Paternity tests should be "Mandatory.". So, in other words, ALL women sleep around. Pretty messed up that you don't think couples don't cheat on each other. You must know some trash women. I have children with my husband, and there WOULD NEVER be a question or doubt that they are his children. Because MOST women, arent sluts with multiple baby daddies. Secondly, just because his new child is white doesn't mean his fiance hasn't been with someone else. You say this but if she was really concerned of the paternity of the child she would've gotten the test taken when her daughter was born, not 9 years after. Your second point is 100% correct. Being a millionaire and getting child support is kind of a stretch. If you're a millionaire and you're seeking child support from someone who makes 60k a year, you don't care about the babies well being and just wanna be vengeful. Btw her asking for child support as soon as he gets a baby with someone else is extra suspect but hey, what do I know

Secondly, both parents are responsible for their child. It doesn't matter if they are a millionaire or on assistance. The noncustodial parent should pay something.

Some one that didn't need it until that time. My kids are 11 years apart. My youngest was 14 when I applied. My thing was when I ask, come through & when he didn't multiple times is when I had to do what I needed to do

My brother's baby mama went through 8 other DNA test before she tested him. 4 years of back child support. Also I think if women can choose if the termanate, put up for adoption, or keep. Men should have the option to have the same rights. Sad that they don't have equal rights.
