Hot Racing Metal Gears & Gearbox Upgrade for SCX10 with Level-3 RC Dual Motor Mount)
Click to subscribe: bit.ly/Sub-CCxRC - It didn't take long for the dual motors to burn up the plastic transmission gears on the SCX10. Too much torque and will power to tackle obstacles even when the wheels seemed stuck...started wearing down the gears. Luckily, that same new trail course that I broke it on meant that our local hobby shop is now carrying more scale and trail parts...like the Hot Racing aluminum gears and gear box that I picked up to beef up the truck. I also grabbed some Boca precision bearings and the transmission is super smooth now.

Flash Hobbies it can be hard. Have to be patient and cycle the rank first...then make sure the fish are compatible with each other and the size of the tank. :) Also, the bigger the tank...the easier it is to keep the levels stable.

I got them for my SMT10 too, but didn't get the metal box..just the gears for the smt10

CCxRC Oh ok right on👍🏼. I had to get the whole box cuz when I got the truck straight from Tower Hobbies one of the four holes on the bottom of skid plate was already stripped which was the hole on the bottom of the gear box. I was pretty ticked lol

Is the dual motors worth it? I need a new esc anyway. Also do your tires rub on your battery plate? I think i need a lift kit because when i turn it rubs.

+MechHead Naga GMG I've had no rubbing issues. What size tires are you running? Loving the dual motors. Good power and speed with the 35T motors
