The frustrating thing about girl scouts becoming a big merch/collab thing is the actual troops really don't benefit. The kids still have to raise every single dollar, get their own uniforms, camping gear, etc. It can be very expensive unless you have a big enough troop with a lot of active parents who can help raise money. If you have a small troop and little to no parent involvement it's tough.

Vacation really did an amazing job with marketing. I genuinely thought, "is this a brand that's been around and I just didn't know about it?!" They really captured the nostalgia so well in that way making you feel like you actually HAVE seen it before even though it looks interesting and enticing.

I like that Beauty Bay does the papà bear, mama bear, baby bear palettes. I always feel like for my personal taste the 9 pan is too little, and the 42 is way too much, so the 16 is usually what I get. Not that I’ll get the smoky, I don’t need 16 shades of gray.

I usually get the 42 because they always leave the shades I want out of the 16. Although with berry I stuck to 16. I love greys and even I can say there are many repeat shades in the 42. I love all the shades of silver metallic though, I am living for those.

As another large loud queen, I feel like I need to tell you that they make fanny pack extenders that they sell on Amazon. I am from the 80s and 90s, it's a fanny pack forever to me.

Time for my years of Girl Scout experience to come in handy. The "shamrock" is a trefoil which is a three-leafed pea plant, and it’s basically the long term logo of the Girl Scouts since the early 1900’s. These days, the three leaves are meant to represent diversity, but originally it was a lot more god/church centric. As someone who was a girl scout for a long time that collection does seem accurate, but I feel like they should have focused harder on marketing towards people who like the cookies and not actual Girl Scouts. I don’t know who the collection is for. Maybe girl scout moms?

No part of the world Girl Guides and Girl Scouts has EVER been religious and never will be. If a company/troup is making it religious then they are NOT working to the programme... 😔

​@@GMW.artistthe only club near me growing up in the UK was the Girls Brigade which was a religious version of the Girl Guides. The emblem of the Girl Guides has always been to represent the promise a Guide makes. Can you tell I would rather have been in the Girl Guides? Or even better a Scout! Instead I got to march to church once a month with the group, and make artwork from pasta. The vicar hated that this little white girl doesn't have a Christian name so he insisted on addressing me by my Christening name, which I hated and as it's not on my birth certificate do not use. I also got moaned at for not going to church often enough. So yeah Girls Brigade was not that fun.

Re the Beauty Bay Smokey pallets, it's like their green and purple pallets. They did the 42, 16 and 9 of the "copy & paste" theme. I got their green one in the large and medium and they're great. Beauty Bay formula is good. Well these pallets are.

I used to love the urban decay naked skin foundation, the original one with the natural finish, it was slightly dark for me but looked good on dry skin. I wasn’t a fan of the “stay naked” version they launched when the discontinued the original. Looking forward to hearing thoughts on their new foundation

The Glaminatrix palette looks a lot like the Colourpop Sailor Moon second collab but with the deeper colors added in

Be wary with Hard Candy. Almost every eye palette from Hard Candy has failed epicly. I love their Sheer Envy setting spray. Mist is perfect and the pink cap I love. 😂 It smells like roses, which I love. Yeah, the shadows are all the issues I have. It looks so cheaply made. The clover is their symbol. I found an adorable Cabbage Patch kid at our thrift store with the original jeans but no top or shoes. I went to the baby area and I bought her 2 shirts, mittens as socks. 😂 and a knit bonnet with matching booties. Then some Ralph Lauren baby Polo shoes. They were 6$ 😂 My bf sat her up in our cart. I dressed her. 😂😂😂😂 Hope that made you laugh.

I really want the girl scouts collection for the nostalgia. My sisters and I loved being girl scouts as kids and then when I was in high school I volunteered with a Brownie troop. Good memories. Even though hard candy quality is hit or miss. The Hatd Candy collegan primer and loose powder are really nice.
