Hot Dog Cart Time Lapse

Ойын-сауық

Thanks to Mark and The Great American Hot Dog Stand - we have about 30 minutes mushed down into this time lapse. You'll see Mark serving hot dogs with all sorts of toppings including some super secretey "tiger sauce" plus, street corn and hamburgers.
He does it all from a Cater Pro® hot dog cart from BensCarts.com.

    That's exactly my plans this year. I have a Blackstone 17" griddle I'll set up on a table right next to me. My H.D. told me I can serve pre-cooked items such as hamburgers. I'll be using the griddle to toast buns, char dogs, heat hamburgers maybe even heating those big new york style pretzels! I'm watching these videos for learning so when l go out I'll be confident. So excited!👍

    Nice video -- love these day-in-the-life hotdoggers so I can see the process. I would have been interested in seeing a wider field of view to observe money-handling and glove changes. All those things must've happened off-camera...

    Hi! Please tell me what toppings are in those three tiny lidded pans? I know one of them is chili. Can you griddle dogs first on table top propane grill and then put them in steamer pan till they sell or will they still shrivel up? Thank you!!!

  • @samelliott663
    @samelliott6633 жыл бұрын

    What’s the purpose of the foil in while steaming the buns ? And are you steaming the dogs before throwing them on the griddle too ?

  • @BensCarts

    @BensCarts

    A couple reasons, easier to clean, less marks on dogs if pan gets hot. Sometimes it's used to diffuse steam and others to separate layers.

    What is your professional opinion on the Big Dawg Hot Dog Carts?

  • @BensCarts

    @BensCarts

    5 жыл бұрын

    If you're talking www.bigdawgcarts.com (they don't have a website anymore) and I've heard they closed up. Not sure though because they have no recent posts on social media either. However, many companies open and try to copy us with similar names etc... This tells me that instead of creating something unique or their own - they are bottom feeders which could be indicative of their products. I have a video on how to vet and sus out info on companies. I'd recommend that. There are several really good companies.

    Consistently uses bare hand. It's not an 'accident' at that point and it's not 'super safe.' Ignorance.
