Too be honest, I just roll my eyes every time someone within his circle or JongKook himself mentions marriage. This question has been asked constantly for the past decade. He knows himself well ( whether marriage life fit his lifestyle or not) and in the end, it's his decision.

i feel the same way like he doesn't have to marry and his life doesn't end if he ends up single. BUT i feel like it became a part of his character in variety shows. im sure if he feels offended they wouldn't joke/talk about it easily. ++ kjk is a pretty private person so yup

Yea Janghyuk said it best. He shouldn’t get married like it’s a obligation or because everyone around him is telling him to. Getting married should be his decision and his only.

I hope he will eventually ask himself truthfully if he really wants to get married rather than "should-ing" himself. I hope he continue to do things that make him happy. Of course, as a fan, I also wish he gets married with someone he loves (and I am pretty sure he will dote on his wife and child) but I will still be happy for him as long as he is happy living his life.

@@irfananfilla Not really sure if he is afraid of relationships but from what I know, he has always been passive in relationships where he's not actively "searching for a potential half" until a lady starts to show interest towards him (as seen in past Mom's diary episode). To me, it seems like he is too comfortable with his loner life and he doesn't have an obvious need to get married for himself (but he is driven by a "weaker force" that he 'should' get married at his age).

He's been a pretty passive guy in terms of relationships, and I know that he wound up dumped by the girlfriend he knew he wanted to marry, pretty much because it was dragging out for too long, all because he wanted to wait until he was financially ready. Also, I suppose after getting dumped however many times he's been dumped for the same old reasons, he would start to question whether he's a good fit for anyone? He'd never say this on the record (probably cos of image/reputation issues), but if I'd gone through that sort of experience I'd definitely have my doubts.

He was talking about getting marry versus living alone and I for one wanted to hear what he had to say but could not because of that rude "docile" little girl.

If ever he gets married and had a daughter, Kim Jongkook will be a soft daddy to his daughter.

"It's not that I wanted it, I should" that clearly is a sign of pressure to get married mostly from family and society. I hope Jongkook think carefully of marriage. It ain't easy especially with his lifestyle, it would be a huge adjustment not only to him but to his future spouse unless they have similar lifestyle.

One woman I met on hiking admit that she regrets having kids and that if she has a choice again she wouldn't do it, she told me I think because I was a stranger and that she can't really say it at home. Live for yourself and not to please others, they will criticize you no matter what you do (and when you have kids, they will also judge you on how you educate them anyway...) so don't listen anyone, love yourself more, live your own life, we only have one (I'm not against marriage, it's so beautiful when you meet the right one , but anyone isn't fit for it or find the right partner and that's ok)

He should find someone who values the things he does, like working out and in that way, they will work out together or when they have kids they will schedule working out at different times so that they can take turns taking care of the kids because its something that is important to the both of them. Doing too much of anything can be a hindrance in a relationship, because you’ll neglect it for your hobby sooner or later. He’s already said how he’s lied to a gf before about being too busy to hang out, so he can go to the gym which is red flag behavior. Anyone who dates him would essentially have to be cool with being second place to his first love the gym which a lot of potential dates wouldn’t be

Spending 2 hours workout daily is quite normal for a gym member. It has become a lifestyle.. did 21km marathon with 3 hours workout classes in same day..

I don't understand why it will be a problem if Kim Jong Kook wants to exercise for 2 hours every day? Do married people have to spend 24/7 together? Does it mean that if I get married I cannot read, draw or have a hobby? That´s what holds him back from marriage; everyone tells him that he would not be able to do something that makes him happy and feel good. That it will cause problems and arguments, but why? Who wants to live like that?. I just hope he can find and do what makes him happy in long term, without thinking that he "should" do this or that.

People getting married later doesn’t change the fact that older parents face a significant amount of difficulties vs. their younger counterparts, and it’s not ideal. For women pregnancy is harder, more risky, and there’s higher chances of Down syndrome and other age related diseases occurring. Scientists are discovering a link between older sperm and autism rates. Not to mention the psychological effects on the kids growing up with a faster constant reminder of their parents mortality

He will have to change his mindset and routine. Instead of "I have to get married" it supposed to be "I want to get married".

he likes the idea of having children but he's almost hitting his 50s, till the time he gets married and decides to have a kid, he will be in his 50s and his wife would be in her 40s. it would be difficult to raise the child after a certain age because my mom has hit her 50s and she most definitely can't take care of young kids anymore after raising 2 daughters who turned adults in till the time she turned 50. i hope he realizes this part that parenting will be definitely hard and most certainly life is unpredictable. nowadays people in their 40s-50s are dying from heart attacks. you wouldn't want your child to feel that her parents are too old to care of her in the future

I think he will have regrets if his mother dies before he gets married. In saying that, I think Jong Kook Hyung may over think how he'll work out if he's married with a child. If he still wants to, he'll find a way to balance it. He'd be an amazing father and he deserves to have the daughter he so clearly longs for. I feel like he feels he should marry because of the expectation to do so before having kids. Otherwise, I think he'd have a child by now.

I don't get why they think it's funny for a child to walk up to someone in the middle of a sentence and shout "Stop talking!"in their face. So many people think toddlers and preschoolers being rude is cute, then they're the same people 10 years later wondering why their teenagers have no respect or consideration towards others, including their own parents. It would have taken less than two minutes to calmly correct the child and have them apologize for being rude. Instead the mom just excuses it away, like so many parents that would rather take the easy route now, not knowing what consequences lie ahead.

I agree Louise. Whether the parents scold the child is a different matter. You don't want yourself to look bad on TV being watched by millions of people around the world. Yes they could have asked for it to be edited out,maybe the producers think it ok to air it.

I’ve said this once before but I honestly think that one of the reasons jongkook cannot find a woman to marry is because he considers getting married an obligation and not something that he wants. Imagine starting a relationship with him and knowing fully well that he’s in a rush to get married, wouldn’t that put a lot of pressure on you if you’re not really ready to get married and start a family? Also even if you do want to get married, you would probably wonder if he wants to marry you or he just wants the idea of being married.

I hope he gets married before he gets too old

I used to workout 2 hours a day 6x a week and it definitely is time consuming. It’s not just 2 hours out of your day cause you end up taking 3-5 hours just because of pre gym routine, commuting, showering, and most likely post workout meal comes after too.

Jk too worry about his workout after marriage..he can discuss this with his gf.should not be a problem ..he should get someone for can understand about his workout routine n also what can he give back...Jk should learn from The Rock maybe...always go to gym but still can marry and have nice cute daughter..

As someone else said, if KJK were to adopt/foster/mentor an older teenager, I can see how he would be an amazing fit for the job. I don't think Korean culture (and East Asian cultures in general) is "open" enough to condone raising some kid that's not yours. It's just not the same as getting married, having your own (preferably male) kid, and passing on your own lineage. I do think that it's possible KJK would be open minded enough to take on this idea, but it probably hasn't crossed his mind as an option since it's just not accepted, and of course, for most people, if they could get married and have biological kids they wouldn't consider the adoption/foster route. As for marriage, I don't know whether he will find a partner who actually understands things the way he sees it: his seemingly ridiculous amount of exercise to maintain the muscles that hold his back together, how tough he can get on himself, the way he spent so long preparing himself financially for marriage (before that one fell through). All the weird things about this guy that make more sense in context. Would there actually be someone who, after understanding him, isn't going to try and change him?

Ra Im’s way of dealing towards the waiting for the gift opening isn’t new. It’s the same way with kids who were not taught to ask kindly for something that they want. It’s also the same way with kids whose parents would allow them to throw tantrums without processing afterwards. So yeah, don’t be surprised or get righteous. It’s just that her parents aren’t bringing her up with the way you were brought up. 🙂Also, JK’s wanting to get married is a running character for him in this show. I doubt he’ll marry soon, for so many reasons but the most obvious one is he’s sooooo comfortable with his singleness. His priorities are working out, coaching other people in the gym, play sports, shoot for shows, and create music. If marrying was on that list, he could’ve done it easily a decade ago. I believe a guy will marry his current girlfriend if he’s already decided to get married. Regardless of anything the girl has, if the guy had already fixed his mind on committing for life, he will propose to marry her. Guess JK is still taking his time enjoying his hobbies (while earning money playing this bachelor character).

Well it's not like he is all day long at home and exercise just 2 hours, jungkook has many businesses and a schedules packed with TV appearances and filming, he still find 2 hours just to work out which means less time to spend with his lover, if u meet someone as busy as him u want him to find time for u but jk like to workout, and all his previous gf did complain about it.

What a situation... marriage should be something you want to do, not something you have to do. If someone marries cause of pressure of parents or society, that individual is the one that has to live with another person, not the parents. Marriage can be hell, and if he divorces, it's the individual that failed to do more, the guilty one. If he has kids, maybe it's going to be even worse for them to be around people that weren't really into each other that much, or even in the family that much.
