I loved the brotherly love between Jaime and Tyrion. Jaime was the only family member that cared about Tyrion.

@@danielallan8061 yep, Jamie, Kevan, (and in the books Gerion their uncle . he dies before the story, but he could fight almost as good as jamie, and ALMOST as funny as tyrion. think of him as their "third musketeer")

You know what is totally mindblowing? Is that at 5:13, when he is telling Ned the whole ordeal with the Mad King....he is being totally sincere. It's not a facade to protect his ego, it's him trying to explain how he averted a massacre. He confesses this completely to Brienne, and in hindsight, he is trying (maybe not so completely) to explain this to Ned Stark. And once Ned gives his answer to this... you can see in his eyes and his facial expression how crushed he actually is that Ned doesn't hear anything from what he is saying. Despite his failures, he really wants to come clean to Ned - who completely shut his ears off to him. Truly shows what a marvelous actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau is. Bless him!

Yet later he says that he never really cared about innocents. It’s possible, at least from the way the series plays out, that all of that really was just an excuse he tells himself, and the only real reason he betrayed the mad king was because he’d ordered Jaime to kill Tywin.

​@@HankblueThe earlier seasons of the show are based on the books so him not caring about the innocents doesn't make any sense. Theres literally 2 parts to this show. The first part that followa the books and everything make sense and then the second part where all character development is thrown out of the window. Jaime killed the mad king to save innocent lives.

@@Supersonic0324 GRRM was actively consulted about the direction of these characters. Do you think they just came up with Dany going mad out of nowhere? No, the whole draft was laid out for them. Their role was hashing out specifics and pacing, cutting things here and there, changing a few details. These big character shifts unquestionably come from blueprints GRRM laid out for them.

How can you say the whole draft was laid out for them when he hasn't even finished the books and come up for an ending lol? "Changing a few details"? Theres major details in the books that were complete and utterly changed in the show. Besides peoples issues with Dany going mad in the show is that for the most part it did literally come out of nowhere.

Cool that Jory Cassel got a scene with Jaime establishing him having met Jaime, just before he kills him. More than he got in the books.

The best character in got in my opinion

Unfortunately for Tywin, the moment the Mad King inducted Jaime into the Kings Guard, his house ended.

It's so wierd to see how different the show looks in season 1, I miss it tbh. Better dialogue, too, the actors actually had something to work with
