I had a feeling this was gonna happen. Elaine should have never gotten rid of Shanikie Osbourne as her coach. Shanikie was the best thing to happen to her in years. But Elaine's camp threw Shanikie under the bus and talked a lot of trash about her in the process. Unfortunately, I'm not surprised at all by this result.

@@rosediamond7044 You're burying your head in the sand, man. Her 11.30 currently ranks as the 111th fastest time in 2024 among all women, and the 14th fastest time by a Jamaican woman this season. Elaine is not even close to the form she needs to be in, with the Jamaican Olympic trials just one month away. Fans like you need to stop being unrealistic. The chances are very high that she doesn't even make the Olympic team this year.

Elaine needed to run though, to get some tune-up races in before the Olympic Trials in Kingston next month. This Prefontaine was a hot, competitive field, so maybe that wasn't the best race for her to open her season with.

15 years ago SFP run LAST in a similar RACE at this SAID event. Talo won in 11.30. Like Ato Bolon said. Elaine should not have RUN such a competitive RACE as an opener. Sherikca TIME was 11.30 against her stable mate which is similar to Elaine's TIME.

I don't understand the point you're trying to make there. Three weeks ago Shericka won her season opener in 11.03. That's no way similar to the 11.30 that Elaine just ran.

If we're gonna be realistic, Elaine is done. If she's doing 11.30 in May, she might not even make the Jamaican Olympic team, and that's in either the 100m or the 100 relay team. Jamaica has a whole bunch of women running faster than Elaine right now.

I wanted her to win she never win, but, now she and her coach see what they have to do. Come the Jamaican trials she will make the team and go paris and the rest will be history.
