We celebrate Canada 🇨🇦 Day tomorrow (July 1st)! Wishing all U.S. neighbours a joyous 4th of July!
Please do the get ready with me for the party! It'll be helpful for other parties too :)
So my 12 year old is watching over my shoulder and insists I share one our favorite recipes 😋 I love to make layered Rice Krispy squares (red, white & blue- just add food coloring drops) They are quick, easy, G-free, and hold up in the heat. Kids grab them all day - no plate needed. I make them on a large cookie sheet to accommodate all 3 batches and sometimes press fun sprinkles into the top cause ...why not.
The best thing about the 4th of July is making homemade ice cream with an old fashion hand crack ice cream maker. All the kids take turns turning the handle while one of them sits on a pillow on top to help hold it down. Best memories made.
I would've enjoyed watching a video of you deciding the party menu, shopping for it, and the house/patio/deck/yard preparation and setup for the festivities. 😊
Walking tacos!! You can even make them in the mini Fritos bags to make them good to grab and go. Strawberry Lemonade white sangria. You can even throw in some blueberries. Cake pops or ores balls dipped in either red or blue frosting/white chocolate with white drizzle and star sprinkles.
The strawberry, pretzels, cheesecake, jello thing is so good. I also like Watergate salad. Maybe fruit pizza in Red, and blue berries.
Yes! Want to see how you decorate. Can use next year! Love your vlogs! Thank you for posting!
Thanks for the inspirational video! Hope you have an amazing 4th and the horses don't get too stressed
I love seeing videos like this but also an intermittent fasting! You’re beautiful and such a motivation for me to homeschool my kids. Hope y’all have fun on 4th of July!
I like to cut (with a cookie cutter) star shapes in my watermelons and add blueberries. Tedious and yet oh so fun, my kids all enjoy the special star watermelons. Simple and elegant on a food table.
We always make red white and blue shortcakes! So basically strawberry shortcakes but you add blueberries to make it festive. So simple but soooo good :)
Cream pie with Graham cracker crust with a flag on top made with strawberries and blueberries. I always make 2 and never have leftovers. Cream cheese, cool whip, lemon juice, sweetened condensed milk, some sliced strawberries if you want. Mix well. Put in pie crust, decorate with berries. Freeze it so it can hold well being set out for a little bit.
7 layers taco dip
Looks like it will be fun! Look forward to seeing you set up for the party!
GREAT video idea and much needed! Love this!
Enjoyed. Happy 4th.
Would love a Fourth of July video/vlog!

Same! 🇺🇲
We typically have a Shrimp Boil for Independence Day. I’m not a huge fan of shrimp but I don’t mind having it 1 time a year, especially when served this way. The fun of this food is that you do not need plates, or utensils to eat with…everything is poured out onto a tabletop, covered only with freezer paper, wax-side down. We will have crayons & colored pencils on the tables beforehand whilst the food is cooking for everyone to decorate the tables. We then squirt spicy mustard, ketchup, cocktail sauce, tartar sauce and butter (for the portion-sized corn-on-the-cob) onto the tables too. The grand hoorah is when the pot of shrimp boil is poured out onto the tables steaming hot! Ingredients: shrimp (of course), corn-on-the-cob, whole garlic bulbs, 1/4’d yellow onions, Andouille or smoked sausage, wedged lemon slices, potato chunks…You boil all of this with a packet of Zatarain’s crab boil and their Shrimp & Crab Boil oil for some kick! Have a great celebration of our country’s independence! 🇺🇸

I would have to agree with the annoyance of days of fireworks. bless your family and enjoy the holiday!
I watch Justin Williams when I was a kid!! 😀 thanks for sharing all the goodies today!
Strawberry Pretzel Salad is fun because it is red and white!
Happy 4th of July to you and your family
Fruit pizza is always a hit for me. And as I'm sure you've seen on Pinterest I do the American flag with the blue berries strawberry and raspberry
I make mini cheesecakes. I use nils wafers for the crust and bake in the cupcake papers. Then top with strawberry and blueberry jams
Love the white cooler!
We ordered Tuck ins to put over the firepit ❤️happy 4th of July 🎆🎇
Jello poke cake. So easy and yummy!!
Fruit dip (no, it's not healthy): 1-7 oz. container of Jet-Puffed Marshmallow Cream...1-8 oz. brick of cream cheese (room temp)...AND 1-8 oz container of Cool Whip (cold, but no longer frozen)....use the hand mixer or stand mixer to mix it together. You can dip grapes, berries, cookie sticks, or pretzels in this dip (or you can taste test it with a spoon...a large mixing spoon...just to make sure it's good...lol)

Love this fruit dip! Just the best!
Fruit pizza is always a huge hit around here.
Well it's simple but I love a good trifle. I would use either Angel food cake or pound cake strawberries and blueberries with whipped cream all in layers. It goes to theme also you can buy everything already made and save time. I would make the whipping cream.
Strawberry shortcakes!! Add blueberries 🍓🫐 🍰 😋
We always do burgers, hot dogs, corn, corn salad, chips and homemade pico with stars made out of jicama, fruit kabobs for the kids, s'mores platter, muddy buddy Chex mix with those melts you bought and red white and blue m and m's! ❤️💙🤍🇺🇸 Every year we make a flag cake with whipped cream topping and let the kids decorate it with fruit and sprinkles! ❤️
I have had those fan bunting things on our covered porches for three (memorial day-4th) now. They do fade some, but they just look vintage now.
Dump cake. Layer yellow cake with blueberry pie filling, cherry or strawberry pie filling and cool whip. It’s a hit every time. Crumble the cake when layering and serve with a large spoon💜

I love your channel now more than ever! I’m a young mom of 4, and You are inspiring me to get myself together. Trying to get to a point where I’m not living in “survival mode.”
Onion😂 watching from Botswana 😁
Strawberry pizza/fruit pizza! Always a hit and very festive
Hope you guys have a fun and festive 4th of July celebration.🎆🎆🎆🎆..Good food 🌭 🍔 🍦 friends, family.. CELEBRATION!!!
I like making Berry “Pudding” for the 4th. Like the Jell-O version of banana pudding but with strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and blackberries. It’s cool and creamy and sooo good!

Thank you so much ...I will make it this weekend 🤗
Hi! Love everything !!! Would love to see that “ get party-ready with me “ l am from Mexico we have Independence Day (which is the one we celebrate the most) on September and I just looove all kind of inspiration ❤️
Peaches are perfect in SC right now, so I will go to the farmstead and get a bunch. We'll have peach tarts and homemade peach ice cream. Maybe even some peach adult beverages.
Cherry Jello Poke Cake with whipped cream topping and blue and strawberries by far a favorite
4th of July Trifle…use a big glass bowl so all the pretty layers show through. Layer chunks of angel food cake, slightly thickened red or blue Jello (let it kind of drip down thru the cake layer), strawberries and/or blueberries, and vanilla pudding. I alternate these layers twice, and then top with Cool Whip smoothed over all. You can decorate the top with extra berries. Then refrigerate to let the Jello set the rest of the way. Beautiful and sooo delicious. I often make this at Christmas too, using green jello and raspberries. It’s always a huge hit.
Loved Justin, he was a character❤️
My favorite 4th of July dessert has always been a fruit pizza-make it a rectangle and decorate like a flag with strawberries and blueberries 🫐 🍓

We do the same, always get compliments and everyone gobbles it right down!!
Pasta salad is my favorite! Macaroni noodles (or whatever your noodle preference), mayonnaise, sliced green olives, mini pepperonis, and suddenly salad seasoning (serve cold)
We usually use a star cookie cutter and cut the watermelon that way, then put it on a skewer and put blueberries on the skewers. Also my mom makes Italian potato salad! So good!!
Green bean salad- 2 cans of green beans and a packet of Italian dressing, vinegar and water use more of vinegar then water keep cold until you put out for meal have a great 4th of July
I always make the ice cream sandwich cake and layer with fudge sauce and butterscotch and top with cool whip and sprinkles
I 100% agree on water I can’t see in.I always get the creeps when my feet touch the bottom !
Rasberry jello poke cake with whip cream on top and a mix of berries as garnish....and blue berry pies are my usual go to's for 4th of July....probably because my mom always made them too. 😋 (just realized it's the only time I make blue berry pie). 💙
My husband bought that hat lol couldn’t resist!
Tradition for generations in my family is homemade ice cream!!!!!!!! Watermelon chunks with blueberries is also a favorite dish. Cookie bars (because they are faster and easier than cookies) with red, white and blue m&m's.
We also prefer reusable decorations. A little more pricey but un the long run it saves money and time. Plus they look more elegant.
Cucumber and green onions with vinegar and sugar ad sugar to make the vinegar not so tart one of my favorites to make ❤️
Succes ! 🥳
Our traditional dessert is strawberries blueberries and Angel food cake layered with whipped topping mixed with sweet and condensed milk poured over it. Keep layering the things casserole style in a pretty clear bowl. ❤️
If you like lemon flavor, make a regular cake mix, and bake. Once the cake has cooled a bit, poke holes in it with a fork all over and pour on lemonade from concentrate (the frozen kind) mixed with powdered sugar to taste. Then frost with white icing. It is absolutely delicious!
Easy one… take ice cream sandwiches and press all 4 ice cream sides in red, white, blue sprinkles
What else is more all American than blackberry cobbler with a glob of homemade vanilla ice cream. YUM!
Oh Angi... You are so funny. I see why CR says you should do stand up comedy. I love your humor mixed up in your videos.
Pudding jello shots, people think they’re getting alcohol, but it’s just cute pudding desserts 😂😂😂
You can make a posset or other pudding someting. Just put it in plastic (wine/champane) glasses en let it set. Would be great with some of the sprinkles.
"Like 30 people . " LOL So y'all,, your sister's family, and 10 people. Hahaha. Sounds like us meeting our friends at the park. We completely take over!
The easiest dessert is ice cream sandwiches, cut in half, dipped all the way around in red, white, & blue sprinkles!
Red, some what white and blue fruit salad, ( you can do water melon, honey dew, and blueberry), and a 3 layer cake one layer red velvet, vanilla, and blue velvet cake 🎂
Kool aid pie. 1 can sweetened condensed milk 1 pack Kool aid Mix well and fold in 1 container cool whip Pour in Graham cracker crust. So easy and so good. We did lemonade and fruit punch for Easter.
I’m making a lemon dirt cake with lemon pudding it is delicious! Also for kids dirt cake is always appreciated. The lemon is more of an adult version that I absolutely love!

I agree about Dirt Cake although I think adults love it too. I bring it to my husband’s family reunion and it gets devoured. Plus it feels like ice cream but can survive heat better than ice cream. 😊
My uncle always did a london broil on the grill. Delish.
A great idea is, ice cream floats and ice cream sundaes. Make a big pan of brownies to add to the sundaes.
Waffle, banana split, and/or mimosa bar with fruit (red and blue preferred) whip cream and any other toppings. Fancy corn options- on the cob, grilled and slathered with different fixin’s (chipotle lime, bacon cheddar, pesto Parmesan, Jamaican sweet corn, spicy sriracha…)
This is probably a little late, but I'm making potato salad, but since no one really like's mayo I'm making more of a French style with lots of herbs and a French dressing. And I'm making veggie pizza which has a savory cream cheese base and lots of fresh raw veggies diced super small on top. So cool, refreshing, and easy! I'm going to a bbq, so that's all I have to make this year. But my kids and I might throw some cookies together too.
We’re having a hot dog bar with all the fixings. We will make ice cream 😋 I think someone is making baked beans too!
I know it's a little late for this year, but Betty Crocker has a really cute flag cake that I've made a few times. I leave out the fruit in the cake layers and just do the food coloring and jello. The frosting they have with it is also super delicious!
“Spinach dip roll up”looked good there are several versions online.
Blueberry lemonade, strawberry lemonade and reg lemonade, cherry or strawberry pie, blueberry pie , apple pie, fruit salad ( watermelon, assorted berries and grapes),baked beans, pasta salads, red potato salad, red, white and blue jellos cut in star shapes( we used to layer it one pan) or we chopped them up and made a salad with whipped cream and pudding mix, coffee stirs with watermelon, berries and marshmallows, …
My suggestions would be to serve homemade potato salad, lemonade, and sliced watermelon. All could be made the day before!
Paula Deen’s broccoli salad is a crowd favorite
Um, earlier this year, I took some star cookie cutters, surrounded them w/ foil and poured liquid into each one to make ice stars. Of course, they melted and depending on the color of the stars - they may be very hard to see but I did think that the stars were pretty fun. If one gets creative, it doesn't have to be liquid persay, frozen yogurt/vanilla ice cream stars; etc. I really like the burlap bows - Cute!
And homemade ice cream❤️
A great dessert would be little cups with layers of cubed pound cake, strawberries, blueberries and whipped cream! Sooo yummy and not overly sweet.
I have those burlap bunting. You CAN leave in the RAIN.
Vodka cranberry and sprite work for 4th!
OMG honestly the ozark tumblers are better than any other brand a coworker swore it was so I purchased one and omg the ice will last for 24 hours if I forget to empty it crazy and I am not a Walmart shopper LOL
A lemonade cheese pie is super quick and delicious 😋 Very refreshing. I just Google it when I make, most the recipes are similar. Lemonade concentrate, lemon or vanilla pudding, cream cheese, and evaporated milk if I remember right. Dump it in a store bought Graham crust and you have a dessert in 5 minutes. Can always add fruit or sprinkles to make it festive.
My son's 1st birthday is July 4th! We just bought a bunch of decor
Crockpot bbq meatballs, frozen meatballs, sweet baby rays bbq sauce, grape jelly and honey. Cook on high 3-4 hours.
I saw a cute idea this week. They called it cheeseburger on a stick. They had "sticks" that were larger than toothpicks but smaller than skewers. On the stick they had half of a cherry or grape tomato, small dill pickle, small piece of lettuce, small piece of cheese, small piece of bacon, and then at the bottom a meatball. She "skewered all the foods except for the meatballs ahead of time. Then she heated the meatballs and put them at the end of the small skewer. So they were like shiskabobs.
My go to foods to take to family get togethers in the summer is Pioneer Woman fruit salad (strawberries, blueberries, grapes) and Fritos corn salad. Both recipes are on Pinterest.
Mini cheesecakes with cherries and blueberries
My dad and I would watch the cajan chef he was hilarious he would ways say “I guarantee whoo!” Also would be like add a little wine and a lit more wine! Just pour the whole bottle in! Sorry about the animals that’s a pain! Firework’s around here started last weekend and will probably still be around next weekend!
2 Angie’s in one day? I’ll take it 😁
Hey girl, since I'm a vocabulary nerd and I think you might be too, two words you might've needed were 4th of July bunting (aka swags), and daresn't (aka dare not) 😊. Have a lovely celebration of our great country!!
Strawberry shortcake with sugared drop biscuits and Cranberry salsa.
Six Sisters Strawberry Fluff😋
Speaking of FIREWORKS it is July 1st and i been listening to fireworks for 3 days now and right now as I watch this video, and it will go on until later next week UGGGGGG I am in TENN
You can buy sugar cookie rolls. Roll it out to a circle or rectangle
I'm the same way, about water, LOL
