Very informative. worked in a hotel and some of the procedures here are not done by the others. they can't even make a sharp mitre and has been there for more than 5 years, what matters to them they do all their rooms at no time. The total maximum number of rooms to be cleaned were 18, now you'll gonna cry if 10 or 12 of those rooms were for checkouts because every room needs to be cleaned only half an hour. the tubs were always difficult to clean, you have to lean over and scrub those grime. there are guests that they don't care when they left for checkout or even stay in--the room looks like a garbage pit, you don't know where to start. situation like this ruined your momentum and you slowed down, not to forget Do Not Disturb or No Service rooms ARE NOT PAID, in this regard you are expected to leave early. happy cleaning!!!

at the hotel i work, housekeepers start at 8:30am... they have to preesent a maximum of 5 Vacant Ready rooms by 12, thereally really no order in which rooms are to be cleaned unless instructed...as for cleaning Stay Overs last, thats a rough one because most guest go out for breakfast and expects their rooms to be cleaned by the time they get back -ually around lunch time and shortly after.... housekeeping is no joke.

The best hospitality training video ever...that no housekeeping staff ever follows at any domestic, or international hotel or resort that I've stayed at over the last 30 years. "COVID protocol" have only made the issues worse.

im a 30 year old dude who just started and goddamn this is WORK - and ive worked in warehouses. these middle-aged women who have been doing this for decades deserve all the credit (and tips) in the world. they tell pre-covid that they would get 15-20 rooms done in under 30min. but now it's 10 and 45min. to make sure it's sanitized like a deep clean.

I myself, see allot of discrepancies. Although very informative, I see that she is making unnecessary trips. I am sure her nails can not comply with company standards. Mentions a 'two glove' rule, when she is bare handed without glove, caring dirty/soiled linen. Speaks of goggles, and does not wear them while spraying chemical in the bathroom. "Circular motion, top to bottom", is the ideal method, one should do this before making the bed. Lastly, the shower curtain should be replaced, as every linen should be. Cushions lifted and inspected and vacuumed, as the furniture should be as well. Her cart was well stocked and organized very nicely. Her appearance was very professional. Safety method was very courteous, professional but direct. Over all, procedures has room for upgrading. Certified for over 6 1/2 Years, with room/suites of similar to one bedroom apartments, with anywheres from 12-45 Suites, normally 2 - 3 wings, on a daily basis. With an 98% Q.A. score. I say this, because if I did all that unnecessary trips back and forth to the cart to the room, I would be exhausted by 10:00 break. lolol.. :)

I'll be sure to clean the sink area before using it the next time I stay at a hotel. AND she didn't change the mattress protector that could've easy had bodily fluids on it as well. All the Tips sop are good the procedure. But why this hotel dont use the duvet cover. Why use double layer bedsheet to cover the inside duvet? When the guest used that duvet how the bed looks like? But the tips is good for me to do when we have not enough linen. Alternative suggest..anyway this is good an idea.

In real time , to make this video she did this room in minimum 1 hour. And they will expect at least 10 like this done in 4 hours.

Things are not pretty easy as shown in this video. In membership resorts/hotel, no standard procedures. Same room will be asked to clean again and again for no reason. If Guest not happy in one room, they can shifted to another, the next day if the Front Office Manager feels the guest is still unhappy they shifting continues with some compliments. Housekeeping staff die of this job. once you enter duty no time for grooming or looking yourself in mirror.

I may have missed the part where drawers are opened and checked to make sure the right items are in there and that guests haven't forgotten something in them. Good video otherwise.

Agustya Andika Try having 20 rooms by yourself then helping your co workers do their rooms.... I've worked in a hotel for 5 years. we most of the time have 2 people per floor or atleast 2 people on 1st and 3rd then 1 person on 2nd. its not that hard once you have experience......

The way she moved, she probably cannot finished the required number of rooms in 8 hrs.usually 16 rooms.i find her a bit slow although this is only for demonstration. For all the hotel cleaning vedio ived seen, nobody is using facial mask.is it not allowed ?because I am using facial mask as a protection.been using it for almost 2 yrs in motel room cleaning and I'm using a dishwashing gloves too to fully cover up my arms .I need to protect myself too so I always bring a small bottle of anti bacterial handwash gel.
