It’s very comic book-esque, the insane heights of arrogance arch villains reach.

Love it. GW should do some kind of short story where Horus and Russ work together during those early years of the Crusade (because we all know they did ). They were, at least in the names of their legions, the Emperors Wolves. What carnage they must have sowed together. And to know that this is how it ends between them is a tragedy that not even Shakespeare could have concieved.

Thankyou, glad you enjoyed it! That's something I could potentially work on myself in the future as that would be a really cool bit to do. I do actually write too, but getting the 40k setting right is hard even for someone that has above intermediate lore knowledge. I'm sure I'd mess up at least some terminology with the armour or weapons and have a lot of ackchyuallysss in the comments, but might be worth a crack at some point.

Wait for it... waaaaaait for it! You'll hear what I mean 👂Hopefully you're starting to get a feel for what you'll get from my channel, which is diving headfirst into the drama and theatre of 40k. This part allowed me the opportunity to give Horus quite a bit of range, which he deserves. I think as I make more videos, I will gradually transition into creating audio dramas when I get more efficient at the editing process. There's a tiny glimpse of that here. I'll also try to have more varied images and transitions to spice the videos up. If you enjoyed the video, you know what to do...STRIKE THAT LIKE BUTTON IN THE NAME OF THE EMPEROR!

I feel like theres something in the narration of how russ actually injures himself trying to hold onto the spear of the emperor (which is gungnir) its generally used as a thrown spear in the norse sagas and it returns like mjolnir.

That’s interesting! It’s not in this chapter, but did something like that potentially happen on the part where he’s in the underverse? Come to think of it I might do the underverse parts at some point, there are some really cool scenes!

I didn't care for the Wolves at all until I read this book. It really showed the Rout Fenryka is really about. The Wolf is far from my favorite Primarch, but I have nothing for respect for Russ.

This crap shows the power of Chaos and why Big E kept it from his sons. Horus was corrupted and convinced so absolutely that even when the veil was partially lifted, he still wasn't going to give up. He really thought he was being the hero. 6:20 man this section... Actual chills, good shxt brother. I could see Horus right infront of me

You were the second, i should have not been jealous. Shit i know that feeling of being outperformed by a younger brother. I was envious. I was wrong. I told them and they forgave me thank God. Its a shitty and horrible feeling being envious of people you truly love. It wasnt jealousy for me because i wasnt out of spite i had the same things but i lost them and wanted them back.

When Russ returns he will team up with the king in yellow with the plan of killing the Emperor with the spear of Russ. Russ is the Emperor's executioner which means he is in chargd of the Emperor's execution. The space wolves call the Emperor the All Father and their home planet is Fenris; this is a nod to Fenrir who is a giant wolf that kills the All Father during Ragnarok. Russ needs to execute the Emperor with the spear of Russ in order to reveal a truth to the Emperor before he dies.

What DID happen to Russ? I can't remember what happened to him at the end of the horus heresy ... I thought he went to sleep but I found out that was the lion not the wolf so I forget .... The Khan is off kicking dark elves in their nuts.... Corax is stalking lorgar ... Sanguineous is dead uhhh hammer bro is off in the warp I believe and won't come back till all his weapons are found ... So yeh.... Hmmm wtf happened to the wolf? I totally cannot think of what Russ did.

@beckyseward6759 Russ went into the eye of terror with all of his honor guard except Bjorn. Russ said he would return for the final battle, for the Wolftime

If it was Rogal Dorn who fought and injured Horus, he wouldn´t even give him a moment to talk. He´d just kill him and walk away, mission accomplished lol
